### AUTHOR'S NOTE ###

Sorry for the long wait on this one, it took me a bit to decide on how I want to balance them in comparison to the Imperium and other Warhammer factions (which I am certainly still working on, and hope to get out the Chaos Weapons mod before christmas) without just giving them nonsensical damage and saying "but it's lore accurate".

In all honesty, the Tau are actually a rather underwhelming faction when you think about what they're up against. Dot get me wrong, when they are given a conventional opponent with equivalent resources the Tau can sweep the board as easily as the Necrons in some cases. But overall they're simply too small and too specialized for them to be anywhere near a peer power in-universe. For example, compared to a space marine the Tau battlesuits generally win due to better tactics, stupidly powerful weapons, and being relatively cheaper in general. the problem arises when you realize that their are probably more individual space marines equipped and armed then the Tau have battlesuits physically MADE. Even if they killed them 2-to-1, they'd still lose by a landslide without the Imperium breaking a sweat, and thats excluding all the wacky and downright insane things your average chapter can bring to bear at any given moment.

In terms of this mod's balancing, when compared to an Imperial Fury Interceptor for example the best and closest thing they have to an adequate counter would be the Manta, a ship less armed and armored than the dedicated void-superiority platform that the Imperium throws out like candy and has loaded standard on most Imperial Cruisers. It's a numbers game, and no matter how strong some might want me to make their weapons they simply cant compete with just how much the other species in the galaxy can throw at them. The Tau don't even have a dedicated void bomber as far as I know, merely using the Manta to run triple duty between ground support, interception duties, and bombing roles. The only reason I gave them another refit Manta variant to function as Tier 2 bombers was because seeing their fleets keep getting obliterated by Starhawks without retaliation against the carriers was frustrating. A lot of my balancing choices in this mod were made in relation to this problem, which is why the Tau also don't have T-Slot weapons and the Ion Cannon and Titan bow sections are replaced with a ton of XL-Slots instead.
