Minor bugfix for 1.6

  • Quality of life feature: if Combat Extended is installed, use hotkey (Caps Lock by default) to reload your weapon. Hotkey is customizable in Controls;
  • Fixed a bug where WASDing would become imposible if WASDed pawn became dead, destroyed or unavailable in any other way;
  • Fixed a bug where you could spam attacks with context right mouse button menu open;
  • A lot of other fixes for best compatibility with my next mod.

1.6 support is now live! WASDed Pawn is full supported by 1.5 & 1.6 versions. Next step is waiting for full 1.6 release and see if any tweaks or fixes are needed.

Small Quality of Life update:

  • Mod options are now separated in Gameplay and Camera sections
  • Added option to configure crosshair size, aswell as disable custom crosshair and keep the usual cursor during WASDed
  • Added option to configure camera speed of following WASDed Pawn

This is probably last update before the 1.6 support update. More news soon!

Fast fix for 1.1

• Fixed a softlocking bug where WASDing any pawn would prevent any others of any other actions such as sleeping, working etc.

Fast fix for 1.1

• Fixed an issue where a Pawn would stop meleeing after going WASDed
• Improved melee aiming - if mouse cursor is too far away, pawn will attempt to attack the closest cell in the direction of mouse. Shortly, melee attacks will now work in the direction of mouse, not the exact position of mouse
• Pawn with melee weapon now aims towards the target cell

◘ Sprint and Walk:
• Holding Left Shift during WASDed walking make your pawn walk 25% faster
• Holding Left Alt during WASDed walking make your pawn walk 25% slower
• There numbers are to be customizable in the future
• Sprint and Walk keys are customizable in the base keybind settings
◘ Vanilla mode:
• Vanilla pawns stand still after a shot (calculated by weapon reloading time)
• Vanilla pawns perform all the jobs standing still, even jobs like CE reloading, eating etc.
• Overall, Vanilla mode is mostly as balanced as a base game - more control limitations, but still as handy as possible
◘ Arcade mode:
• Arcade pawn can walk and shoot at the same time
• Arcade pawn can do jobs on-the-go (speed debuff is possible, customizable in settings)
• Arcade pawn can attack faster than usual at the cost of Arm Exhaustion
• Overall, Arcade is for more topdown-shooter feeling of a game: it is a bit more OP than the vanilla game, but is highly customizable
◘ Job support:
• WASDed Pawn won't agressively stop any job like before. Instead, it will put WASDed on hold, perform an action, and then give full control back (like going to a meal and consuming it if a RMB order is given)
• Pressing LMB during such job will force pawn to drop this job and will give full control back
◘ Arm exhaustion:
• Arcade pawn can suffer a exhaustion hediff if the melee swings are more often than the base cooldown
• Arm exhaustion is a stamina-like system: you perform worse over time at the cost of fast action
• Arm exhaustion slowly degrade Manipulation parameter and Moving and Sight on late stages
• Arm exhaustion pass by on itself, as long as you not melee attacking
• Exhaustion can be disabled in the mod options
• This is still a WIP and will be rebalanced in the future
◘ More camera control:
• Zoom speed is now customizable
• Min and max zoom sizes of a camera are now customizable
• Shifted min zoom size in order to support mods as Camera+ and etc - Camera+ should no longer turn camera upside down if zooming in too close.
◘ A bunch of fixes:
• Fixed Pawn doing a last shot after disabling the WASDed mode
• Fixed an issue where pawn would melee attack himself if pointed. That still was hillarious lol, so a self-attack option is added in the mod options. Disabled by default
• Fixed a bug where pawn would auto-melee any enemy nearby
• Some recalculations are done to make pawn walk on terrain even smoother now. Some tiles still might make pawn walk too slow, so it a work in progress, too
• Fixed a bug where WASDed mode would completely disable drawing paths - it is now should disable them only if Pawn is WASDed
• Fixed a bug where other WASDed pawn would teleport at the position of a first WASDed Pawn
• Fixed a bug where some guns would force pawn to shoot infinitely without even clicking

Update: 29 Apr @ 2:50am

• Fixed issue where some mod-related tooltips won't render if WASDed is enabled;
• Fixed issue with speed disbalancing. Now terrain movement should be way more smooth;
• Implemented first fix for the guns with too low cooldown to prevent them from autofire. It is quite a complex bug, though, so it will be finalized in the next patch;
• A lot of code-related patching;
• Removed HugsLib requirement.
