This addon is great, but i wish the repulsor had the same physical properties as thrusters. I can't use this on a speeder bike i'm making because of the constant dragging noise because the repulsor is constantly colliding with the bike

Malawar created a couple of addons for gmod back in the day before it came to steam and this is one of the ones he created, I just rewrote some parts of it to get it to work for newer versions of gmod.

You can either try to balance it perfectly or simply use the straight down option, I think both of those should work.

I re-added wire functionality and uploaded it at as separate item to the workshop because it causes errors if you don't have wire installed and run the wire version of the repulsor. You should be able to have both installed at the same time but I have not checked.

If there are any changes you want done to the wire version just comment on it and I'll see what I can do.

Cool, because this is perfect for making landing gears for space ships. Makes for a very soft and cushy landing and take off.

I'll see what I can do about the wire functionality, there have been some changes to the code and I have no idea what changes have been made to wire since I added and removed the functionality.

For some reasons nukes dont work with this, all the animations of the explotions disapear

After three days of trial and error I have managed to find the problem.

The error when saving came from 'ply' not being in the rtable, I think. It has been added and I do not get any errors when saving.

There is still a more serious problem though and that is that the mask (the variable that tells the repulsor what to repulse against) gets corrupted when saved (goes from 33636403 to 33636400) and that means that the repulsors don't repulse against anything when it has been saved and loaded.

I added new functionality to the repulsor so that you can update the mask with left click now.

That save in particular was a save with only this mod installed, in other words, no mods except this one were installed when I made this save, and when I loaded this save.

When I make a save with repulsors attached to something, they don't show up when I load the save.

There is currently no wire support since there is no wire in the workshop (at least not last I checked).

Advanced Dupe now successfully dupes these suckers, which means they're no longer useless :D

Unfortunately Garry's Duplicator doesn't copy it right. For whatever reason his duper makes the repulsor not do ANYTHING. Mind you, I just tested it today, so maybe Garry broke his duping tool with the recent update? I dunno.

I'll give it a whirl then. If it does work, awesome, since the Halo 1 Ghost I made with these worked FAR better than the one I made in Gmod 12 thanks to Wiring being way more complex than just placing a nocollided baseplate with 4 of these suckers in place :)

I fixed the bug, I accidenly swapped damping and strength when you duplicated the repulsor.

It works the way it is supposed to now.

Doesn't dupe properly. I wish it did, but it doesn't, which makes this nearly useless. It's amazing when not duped, but it becomes unusable when duped :/

The problem isn't that it is connected to the sky, the problem is that you are probably using the combo of "Only repulse straight down" and repulse agains props.

I would happily make is so that it didn't repulse against the thing it is connected to but I have no idea how to do that.

a real man , yeah I did this in wiremod too but this cuts out a lot of wire work. Plus wiremod isn't distributed with gmod. Not sure on its status with 13 either

Just what I have been looking for!

Although it seems that if the prop finds itself upside down it is attracted into the sky. Also , I have found that the hoverball car made from 1x2 steel is unstable with 4 repulsors at each point , I think widening the car will work but just so you know whats up :)

Clever little thing, perhaps you could even make a landspeeder like in the Star Wars trilogy. Great tool for messing around with!

You an easily do this with wire. Not saying it's bad, but it's definatly not needed.
How to do this with wire:
Hoverball, ranger, constant value(whatever you want the distance of the hoverballs to be from the ground) and an add gate.
Place the ranger close to the hoverball, attached to a prop, pointing down, make sure the ranger outputs vector distance(or something, i can't remember, but it's needed) and put the constant value and gate clsoe to it to signify that it exists. Wire both the constant value and the ranger 'z vector' or whatever it is, to the add gate, make sure they are both being added to the gate, then have the hoverball target z-level or distance use the add gate's output.
Do this on multiple corners of a flat PHX prop and watch as it almost constantly spazzes out and shit breaks because wire is broken. But this isn't much better. Thanks again for uploaded this, but if only it was more popular.

The tool is under the construction tab with thrusters and hoverballs, it is just called Repulsor in the menu.
