I'm going to upload some comparioson shots soon. It supose to look like vanilla textures but with allot better resultuion and quality (I never upscale texture or reuse vanilla texture). You should be able to see a big difference ingame.
It would give you slightly longer loading screens since there is more data that need to be loaded, but depending on your computer you might not even notice it
But if you have problems, head over to skyrim nexus and download the esp and bsa files there, it migth even work with the subscribion after that because its the same files.

I have no idea why you are getting this error, but it looks like steam workshop is really unstable right now.
But if you are still having problems you can download it from skyrim nexus.

esp and bsa are same as the one on steamworkshop.
