bro the screenshots are beautiful, plus this is fun, a couple problems that the guy below has explained, but im just freezing for a couple seconds.

I am having an issue with the glass room where you get swarmed by soldiers and manhacks. After I destroy the camera and the enemies enter, the game freezes then crashes. It's happened twice in the same spot on that map. Something about that area is not working correctly for me but I have no idea what. And because the game crashes to desktop, I cannot check the warnings window for Lua errors or anything. What's more frustrating is that I didn't used to have this issue a few years ago, this is a new development. It's a real shame because otherwise it is a cool action map.

To people who are still wondering how to mount half_life 2 episode 1:
-In Garry's mod main menu, go to the bottom right corner of the screen where the controller icon is displayed next to "games"
-Scroll down until you find half life 1
-Select the icon
-Restart the game (this could be optional but I did it just in case)
And that's it. You can also do this with other game's too like Team Fortress 2 for example if other specific add-ons or maps require assets from other games.

To reply to the question about the room at the end: Assuming you play this on singleplayer (events and sequences will mess up in co-op), then after breaking out of the last vent and heading down the hallway where that room is, the doors should blast open to intersect the incoming combine squad and create a bottleneck at the hallway. I don't remember how I set this up, it's possible that blasting them immediately after they spawned prevents them from getting close enough to the doors to trigger that event. (late reply due to exams at university)

I had to search up how to mount because i didn't know what it was. And it is a pretty good map. Only problem would be the beginning considering you only fight against a poison zombie with a crowbar. But overall great map. It was fun.

You need to mount your game to Garry's Mod, it's not enough to just have it installed. Also you should play after killing the first combine, I think you might like how the rest of the map plays out :D

Well sometimes you get an orange sky in nature (it is rare though). But I mostly put it to flesh out the atmosphere.

I'm confused of how this is 5 stars.
1. I have episode 1 installed and i still get errors.
2. You spawn in and grab a crowbar and fight a poison zombie only with it. Then you have to fight a combine to get a smg. Bad start in my opinion.

I left after that.

Well I've slowly been working on an onslaught wave-based defense map throughout this year so maybe that'll work for you. I'm trying to make it more immersive than other maps I've seen and it's also zombie oriented, featuring similar narrow environments like overrun . If all goes well it should eventually make it to the workshop.

Hey so I updated the exterior portion of the map so it is no longer horrid. Adjusted HDR settings and added some buildings and color correction. Should be pretty neat now. I can't believe I'm still patching this map lol

There's been an update! The map now supports a fully functioning checkpoint system so that when you die you don't have to start over, and it also keeps track of what weapons you've collected. Additionally I've added some more media to the page. The gunship segment has also been fixed, now it will utilize its navigation properly.

I'm looking to fix some more stuff about the AI in another update, but until then I hope you enjoy!

I'm not a big fan of the beta personally, although I still like reading about it. we need more maps with these scripted events. I see all these reskins for characters, and want new scenarios to use them in.
