There is a bullet hole on the second floor on a filing cabinet that will NOT seal. The laser welder continually burns with soot all over the place and leaves a scar. I can fire the laser welder again, it heals the scar, but the bullet hole returns. As you stated (April 26, 2019) that the patches seem to mess up the bullet holes... so I am speaking up to let you know about it. That was the only bullet hole I had a problem with. I love the details in this map... like the Employee of the Month picture... love it hanging in my office!
THANKS for a wonderful map... I have subscribed to several of your maps recently and I have enjoyed them all! (Would you consider making more? !!!)
i cant seem to see it on workshop unless im blind lol?
start the level editor
choose open existing map
find the viscera folder
udkgame\content\mods\postal
select postal.udk file and load it (engine will update assets and shader cache)
as soon as it finishes loading exit the editor, Important to not save, just quit staight out.
Run the game and load the map, should work fine.
that'll fix it.
Even though I made the collision for them one big box the game still reads each bar separately.
I was gunna put in the sprinkler trigger but never got round to it.
Maybe I'll come back to it one day.
Putting them in the halls would be a lot easier to spot yeah, but the rooms they, and the furnaces/bin dispensors are in, were rooms than in Postal2 were just full of boxes. So it made sense to me at the time to fill those rooms with utilites instead of a ton of boxes.
I agree though I had to do a lot of double and triple checking what rooms I was making as I was going, I got just as lost.
(I get just as lost playing POSTAL 2, and walking through hospitals IRL)
If you keep both maps installed you can delete the script from either maps mod folder.
For the loading screen error you'll have to load up my map in the editor then just quit out once it's loaded, that'll fix it in the game.
A funny workaround but for some reason maps with lots of custom content can cause the game to freeze or hang, not a lot I can do to fix that I'm afraid. But a load in the editor fixes it 100%
Look out for East mall PL, coming "soon"
