Ah, I see. I have have more mods and I have an excel sheet where I can order the cars by price and weight per item, and this car is currently (1890) the heaviest and one of the priciest (only the vanilla stake car costs more per item) on the list. So for me the loading speed makes it very unattractive to use it.

@gamebori - Thanks, but it's actually intentional. 4-plank GWR x0.5. 4-plank British x0.25. As a non-standard cargo combination from the vanilla game, it has a load speed penalty for balance.
gamebori 15 Jul, 2019 @ 4:38am
the 4-plank wagons have a loading speed of 0.2x, I'd guess there's a typo in the code somewhere.

I've now added two 4-plank wagons for the Construction Materials production chain.

@Norfolk_Chris - I've stuck with the convention of the game's vanilla wagons. I added the covered version to make carrying grain less unrealistic. Releastically grain would have been carried in dedicated vans or metal bodied hoppers (http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/gwrgrain) . But I'm not sure a dedicated grain wagon justifies the work involved, not when there's already a set of dedicated livestock wagons, and grain and livestock are equivalent in the game. I may add a completely different style dedicated wagon for machines (& tools) at some point in the future.

The 5 plank covered wagon is wasted as it carries the same load as the open version.
Covered wagons were not used to carry coal, iron ore stone or slag as there loads did not require covering. Could I suggest that they be modifed to carry manufactured goods, machines and grain (grain was never carried in open wagons).

I've now added versions of these waggons as placeable scenery Assets. And I'll be doing the same with most of my other waggons and some of the coaches and engines at some point.

I've now added a new model of the GWR 5 plank covered with a tarp when loaded.

@AzureWind91 - That's actually quite a good idea. Thanks. I'll do that soon.

Loving the fact that we are getting more UK content into this game (something that was sorely lacking) and am absolutely loving that it is the GWR that is being done. I would suggest something like a 1400 0-4-2 and autocoach as a future project, would be great for working some of the branches initially until ridership increases XD

Awesome! I wish someone create locomotives for these wagons. Rocket, De Witt Clinton, John Bull, Samson etc.

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I was waiting for a proper GWR goods hauler! Don't get me wrong, the Dean Goods is a good goods engine for the beginning of the game, but by the turn of the century, you won't get any train moving unless you doublehead and have a tank engine as a banker at the back :P The 2800 class will defidently speed things up in the good department. After all, there aren't that much GWR goods engines that can claim to start off in the early 20th century and rack up to get replaced only when the BR standards came along ;)

i would love to see Raveingam Hall

Thomas the Tank Engine will live again!!!! \0/
BeastyBill88 14 Aug, 2017 @ 1:16pm
I would love to see some GWR express locos to go with these ;) like a 6000 class.
Northerner Transport Hub 14 Aug, 2017 @ 12:03pm
A freight engine that is pretty cool
Northerner Transport Hub 14 Aug, 2017 @ 12:03pm
i think JK needs to do the GWR 52XX
Norfolk_Chris 14 Aug, 2017 @ 10:31am
Brilliant!
JK  [author] 14 Aug, 2017 @ 9:59am
Thanks for the positive comments. I've no plans for non-GWR stuff for quite a while. I'd already started on a GWR 2800 heavy freight enigne, but switched to doing the waggons first. So that will be coming in the next few weeks. :-)
Norfolk_Chris 14 Aug, 2017 @ 9:22am
Nice trucks! What we need now is a heavy freight loco to go with them, would suggest either 2800, 4700 or ROD class. Would greatly appricetiate any one of them. Any chance?
Northerner Transport Hub 13 Aug, 2017 @ 11:11pm
Just what we needed
I really like these to go with the toad brake van
could you do BR standard trucks?
ΞCNΛLUBMΛ 13 Aug, 2017 @ 7:31pm
@azure_wolf_22 He mentioned on his previous works that he is only planning to do GWR stuff at the moment
azure_wolf_22 13 Aug, 2017 @ 6:48pm
ah, the Troublesome Trucks.

Curious. Any plans on adding the E2 Class Tank Engines?
