I don't know if an update to defense shields broke this script or not but whenever there is a shield controller on my grid I get this error, even if the config is set to false for the automatic shields.

Launching script...
Caught exception during execution of script:Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Program.DefenseShields..ctor(IMyTerminalBlock block)
at Program.CalculateShield(Boolean reset)

can anyone help?

Does this script not work with modded lights and guns? in my current save the script didn't even detect them, though could be doing something wrong somehow~

Is this broken? I can't get the alert tag to apply to anything but the PB I put the script on.

@Nullblaster - use "Turret Alarm v2" script to trigger timers when turrets detect hostiles or give all-clear, then just set the timer being triggered to do what you want with this script.

Is there a way to set alerts to go off automatically? Like say, yellow alert if an enemy signal is detected, red if anything enters turret range

the bars in the middle are kinda out of place i guess, can we hide/remove or replace them? its a script too work with others?

When i use the energy shields mod the script breaks and says the script is too complex. could you please fix this i've just looked through the bug reports and someone posted this issue a little over 2 years ago. hope you see this comment and fix the issue as it makes the script not work at all.

How do i remove the info in the middle of lcds, the hydrogen thing, also the sound blocks suddenly shut off shortly after calling the alert.

@Drifter_TOA in the script go to lines 498 - 508 there you can change the sounds, colours of the lights and some other functions

Oooh I lve been using defense shields lately. My bad. Yeah sounds like a cod issue, hopefully the author can look into it

I did. Reset, recompiled, manually turned shield on and off, etc. And this is for Energy Shields mod, it does not use emitter. Shield works just fine, it's just not detected by the script. Also there seems to always be an error at line something 180, 200, etc stating that it started (or ended, can't remember) abdruptly or something of the sorts. No matter how small change you make it always says that (well at least I noticed this when I change script, that is add my own alert and press Check Code). Can't remember if it does that with unchanged script. Script still works, it just shows that strange message, which usually happens when you change script, even if you just rename turret tag.

Interesting. I have this problem, but after a reset it comes back.
Maybe make sure the shield is working? I.e. online, no los block for emitter, correct blocks. I assume the shield works on its own?
Try checking or entirely reloadingbth script. If you made any script changes, could be a mis type somewhere (I've done this before).

@Selphadur sometimes when loading in it doesn't recognize the mod, try running the reset argument after turning the shields on and off.

Hi, nice script, but i have a little probem with your script, we play with the weaponcore mod and i don´t get the weaponcore weapons to work with your script. Is there a way to get them working?

For some reason when I add Alert in the cockpits name it does nothing to its custom data even though I recompiled the script to detect it. Am I doing something wrong?

The predefined alerts are just different profiles wich you can activate. Different light color and blinking along with that some alerts (like Read alert) will turn on weapons, and close blast doors.

You can either modify existing alerts or add new ones to your liking.

far as i know, and I have been using it for a while, is it just changes the alert light colors and any text panels. There may be additional scripting or timers you can use to go with those alerts perhaps?

may i make a small suggestion for some added functionality?

imagine a "power saving", "low power" or "emergency/backup power" alert mode.
that one would probably turn off most things and most lights.
it would then dim the remaining lights
and maybe trigger a few warnings (blinky lights, sounds, ...)

at present, it seems I can either turn the lights off or dim them, not select some to be dimmed and some to be turned off and a third subset (which might overlap with the first) to change color with a fourth subset to be set to blinking

would it be possible to add something like that?

I love this script just adds that atmosphere from a scifi series. It's just a pity that the alert is reset after each connection to the multipleyer. The main reason because it bothers me is that I want to have my weapons turned on with my own alert when I'm not online.

Is there a way to set multiple alarm sounds? For example, I want intruder alert to use the Enemy Detected then start an alarm

Maybe even repeat: Enemy Detected, Alarm for 30 Seconds, Enemy Detected, Alarm for 30 Seconds

Is this possible?
