A wonderful mod. A very interesting nation to play with. There is only one nuance. It requires an update so that you can play using it in the latest version of the game.

A quick heads up, there has been a minor update on this where we've removed the user interface that pops up after capturing a city. Hopefully this will alleviate an issue some people were having with capturing enemy capitals. It's been tested and seemed to work okay, but let us know if this issue persists.

So as not to break anybody's ongoing games, the previous version is available to download in the description :) enjoy!

this mod is still freezing the game when trying to conquer a city. Sometimes you can have all units move or fortify before the last unit attacks, but not always. The Ituuu is a very powerful unit, especially when coupled with the early corps making of Tig.

Trying to come up with a rebalance for Tig is an ongoing effort; if he's your only issue with the mod however, then there's already an [url]alternative leader[/url] released that you can use instead, with more on the way.

As a more general note, we've heard that people are having issues with models disappearing since the patch: please say if this has affected Assyria, since I believe we have a fix for it if it has.

Getting corps 4 eras before anyone else is a tad extreme. I can understand maybe one era early, or EVEN BETTER, having a small production bonus to building corps but unlocking them with nationalism like everyone else.

Heck, honestly I feel this civ would still be balanced without doing anything with corps at all, since with the way combat works in civ6 compared to civ5 the combat bonuses in this game are really strong; this makes corps/armies really powerful. but if you're gonna do something with them, I'd say at least keep it so they get corps closer to when everyone else gets them. As it stands, there's no good counter to corps at ANCIENT era.

Really wish I could use this civ. It looks like you guys put a lot of time, effort, and love into this project. And it really shows. I think you guys have done an excellent job. I was really excited about it until I saw the bit about corps being unlocked in ancient era. I feel like I would be cheating if I played as assyria now.

I'm getting the same issue for crashing/freezing. It was a lag spike on a city state but taking a capital caused a total freeze. It doesn't crash it just freezes indefinitley. I can't say it's forever but I've given it 10 minutes or so and it remained frozen.

Is this a fatal crash or just a lag spike? A lag spike would be expected, and is often noticable, in the vanilla game when you capture a city; a fatal crash certainly shouldn't be happening. I can't think of any reason why Assyria would cause more lag on Capitals than other Cities.

A quick heads up to anybody that has subbed. An update for Assyria will be uploaded later today. It includes some balance changes based on user feedback and introduces graphics for the unique district's pillaged and construction build-states. A full list of changes will be available in the change notes.

If you've got a game going that includes Assyria, the current version at time of writing (v1.03) will remain available to download manually within the description above, so as not to ruin your current games.

Thanks for your feedback @TonToE - we've been tweaking the design behind the scenes based on everyone's feedback so we'll definitely take yours into consideration for the next balance update. Hopefully that will be quite soon and it'll likely drop around the same time as the introduction of the next leader for Assyria ;-)

I think this civ is a tad bit overtuned.

If you stack the bonuses, you get 3 range archer corps that have 40 Ranged Combat Strength (vs 25 for regular archers) and can also hide in Warriors corps with 30 Combat Strength +7 on defense (vs 20 for regular warriors). These Warriors can also gain 2 turns of fortify if you hold it long enough, effectively making these archers very tanky and very powerful. Not to mention that the siege engine gives these stacked units +10 vs cities and districts. That's one spicy meatball. It's also worth noting that the +10 Combat Strengh from corps applies to all eras pretty much.

I'd suggest moving the corps to somewhere around Diplomatic Service. This still gives Assyria the power to build the corps first, but without the ability to do so eras before other civs even consider going for Nationalism.

Great mod. Just finished playing my game with it and....the unique units are too strong. I might recommend either eliminating the early corps or taking away the +1 range with the seige engine. I LOVE the Itu'u unit idea, tho. Great stuff. Scared to play against this one on Deity.

@Chrisy15 I have no issue with the Corps special ability, the only issue I have with that ability is the fact you get it ancient era civics, which is way too early and quite unbalanced in my opinion
