I have a model of a 4750 hopper 65% complete, though I barely model these days.
As for reefers, it makes a better boxcar modification than a full-blown model. After all, barely anybody uses reefer cars in Gmod.

Well, I guess an answer is in order......
To quote connorlovestrains: "yep"
Assembly is simple: use the normal Axis tool to connect the bogie to the main prop.
First, click on the cross on the top of the bogie, then on the cross on the bottom of the car. Repeat for both ends, and done!
Thanks for spotting that!

I have reinstalled the addon and the dependincies and..
I found that follow is missing:
models/proppertextures/met_acrylic_metal1_painted
models/proppertextures/met_acrylic_painted
I can work around this in an E2 by setting a temp material

In the meantime I'm going to mock up an Airslide.
Infact I'll do that now.

Sorry for the harshness... I just find your case hilarious.
heheh......
Heh....
Hehe.
HAHAHAHAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I needed that.
Unfortunatley for you I am demonstrably immune to emotional "PLZPLZPLZ (puppy eyes) etc", you won't be able to get me to do anything like that.
In other news, I don't make locomotives. I'll only be making 1, and that will be after the regauge.
Also, sombody by the name of Battleship is already making a Centipede in all it's glory, so I'm not going to steal his thunder.
One more thing...
The fact that you mispelled my name doesn't help your bargaining abilities.
It's as simple as 2 axis from the bogies to the frames, and you have a working car!
If you want detail, just add some! Tweak the color, change the bodygroups, maybe mess with the sumterials, and you have a peice of rolling stock!
Gmod is all about creativity and skill, so if you don't want to do that, why are you playing it?

This is only for the Trinity and Gunderson/Trenton truss bodygroups.
If I make bogies, trust me all the bells and whistles will be included. Including a proper wheel texture.
Post 2:
I have a suggestion thread, I would reccomed reposting this one to there so others can discuss.
I would like to, and chances are I will after I finish some other things, but it remains to be seen if Hammer will allow it. I have some solutions already worked out, however....
Looking forward to mopre in the future also, any chance of whalebelly tankers at some point like:

Just asking.
Oh if you are making trucks can you please make a set without wheels but have the invisible sliders, so we can add the rolling wheel e2's on them?
OR
came the actual wheel material something unique from the rest so in an e2 we can make them invisible so we can use a custom wheel e2?
However, I can agree that it clips and overhangs, because my model is not the one at fault. It's because magnum's bogies are a full-size truck, but Taconite cars use a smaller, more compact truck that's only 3/5ths the size.
I will eventually model those trucks, but for now we have what we have, and the overhang is better than no bottom unloading zone.
It's not quite long enough and the truckset clips into the main body at the unloading port, and wheels overhang way too much on each end.
