Damn, been 5 years. Time goes by so damn fast. And still no answer lol

Both this mod, and Ignore Concealment are not working for me. I only have one enabled at a time, so that isn't the issue. Unless I actually do need to have them both enabled? Are there any mods that could conflict with this mods' functionality? The big ones I run with are Covert Infiltration, and RPGO, but I don't see how those could conflict at all. This problem is noticeable as early as the very first mission. None of my rookies are taking shots in concealment when they should

Yeah is there a way to exclude abilities?

Is there a way to exclude abilities?? I have a soldier getting ever vigiliant where they go straight into overwatch if they've double moved, and I can't seem to stop them! :(

I agree that altering this mod to make a 2nd "aggressive" overwatch button would be good. Thus you can set your soldiers with phantom to still fire when they aren't seen, but without losing the ability to conditionally fire once enemies are close enough to see you

thnx

So in vanilla if you're concealed and overwatched you wont shoot unless you get seen. This makes it so if the enemy moves, overwatch will trigger and you'll come out of concealment. It's good because the enemies only get reaction moves :)

can someone explain to me what the mod does? Not gonna lie, no fukin clue after reading the description.

Hey Divine Lucubration:
Looks like these Overwatch mods also use a X2AmbientNarrativeCriteria hook. I posted about reported issues with using those in your Sniper and Infantry mods' Discussion threads.

@Divine Lucubration: Even weirder: it's only happened on gatecrasher with rookies.

"Ok, you three on overwatch and you go shoot that trooper" *shot hits* *4 overwatch shots follow* "Hey, that math ain't right!"
Divine Lucubration  [author] 14 Sep, 2017 @ 7:08am
@Kaerius - That's... interesting. Not saying it's impossible, but I can't see as how that could result from using this mod. I don't actually add a new kind of overwatch shot to the game; I just modify the existing one so that it may be taken regardless of concealment.
Kaerius 13 Sep, 2017 @ 9:45pm
Hmm I've had some weird behavior after enabling this. Specifically rookies on gatecrasher somehow firing more than one overwatch shot... it's possible they're getting both the concealment ambush shot, and a regular overwatch shot.

Thanks, my Reaper with Kill Zone will appreciate this.

I second ADVENT too. I wish I had conceal overwatch AND fuck it I shoot you from concealment overwatch in LW2.
eldiabs 10 Sep, 2017 @ 11:01am
Seconding ADVENT Avenger's request. That would add a new layer to strategic ambushes.

Can you make a 3rd mod? Put 2 overwatch abilities in your Ability Bar, one saying Overwatch (normal ability) and one saying Overwatch (Concealed) that doesnt trigger?
Juravis 10 Sep, 2017 @ 8:57am
Disrespect your surroundings! (Video showing XCOM soldiers firing from concealment with heavy drum, destroying cover)

Thank you Divine Lucubration!

@K.Constantine thats not really the solution, the idea is you can get concealed guys to shoot soon as they see hostiles like this mod adds, and you use the orignal type on guys you want to stay hidden, but IF the enermy does reval by flanking or getting too close, you want him to least not wast his chance at a shot, especially if its close range.

So this one version does NOT apply overwatch penalty ?

Reading everything again, finding a way to keep ever vigilant from triggering concealed overwatch would be great indeed but probably difficult to set up ?

Thanks, I was looking for this.

Hey, you seem to be well versed in overwatch modding, do you think its possible to make overwatch have headshot mechanics with the lost?
MisterDog 10 Sep, 2017 @ 3:50am
Could you exclude Ever Vigilant from this, or at least make it a toggle in .ini files? It's otherwise fine, but automatic overwatch abilities have the potential to mess up your plans badly :)
K. Constantine 10 Sep, 2017 @ 1:52am
@Black Raven
Just don't overwatch people you don't want to shoot, it costs 1 will per overwatch after all.
Black Raven 10 Sep, 2017 @ 1:24am
if they any way to make the 2 overwatch types actually seperate, eg when concealed you get both styles of overwatch?

This will give us a lot more control on who does what in which situation, especially usefull in the shadow ops sitrep where only shooter gets revealed.
