Sounds to me like they were asking for it...

This mod is right and good but a Purifier just wiped out an entire cluster of resistant haven civs in one sweep lol

@kaindeamon this changes their weapon's template, so if advent armory uses the same one it will get the same change.

does this mod affect the troops, the flamethrower itsself, or both? and if its the weapon, does it affect the one unlocked with the advent armory mod? i think it uses the same flamethrower just allows it for xcom.

Thanks man. Anything that makes them scarier is a good change. I always felt that they are a wasted space in a pod.

I'm just kinda disappointed that it seems like Firaxis really hasn't learned anything from XCOM Enemy Unknown to Enemy Within to now XCOM 2 and War of the Chosen =/ Some of these bugs and weird glitchy abilities have been around in the engine since EW. They shouldn't be relying on the modding community to fix their game for them, which it really seems to me is the case.

You can also flush your XCOMXXX.INI files in your Default User folder (not the game ones). It'll force a reset and your game user files will be the same as your base files. If that doesnt work, i suggest refreshing your game files then re-doing your changes. I keep a backup of my INI files on Google Drive to avoid this (or patches...)

@ADVENT Avenger Yeah, the first attempt was back when the expack came out, before your comment on the other mod, might work that way too I suppose. However, I have heard folks having trouble editing the default config, so I am suspicious something is wrong on Firaxis' end.

If your weapondata stuff isnt kicking in your have txt corruption problems, like i said use notepad++ from a fresh game copy.

I also changed my purifiers to do something similar, great minds think alike.

i lost 3 squaddies to a single purifier; u defile their memory! :madpug:- thats how i found out that explosive stuff makes bad cover against purifiers
PS: like the pic

@Tyranniac I don't know for sure, but my first attempt at doing this with just ini changes didn't work so I threw together a quick template edit. I've seen comments on reddit about it for trying to tweak chosen weapons. I dunno what's up with it.

Lol, I always prioritized them, assuming they would do a ton of damages and add bruning status !
Glad you dared to let one live for science.

Your pic makes me laugh.

Yeah purifiers were the last enemy you took down really they would be almost harmless if it was not for the gernade. @Tyranniac I've noticed that changing the chosen weapon attachments does not work.

Sounds good, thank you for making this!

Out of curiosity, what variables in the weapondata config have you noticed not doing anything? You have me concerned some of my changes might not take.
