Maik, The DD40 is one of my absolute favorites for US locomotives. I realize you're not pursuing it anymore, but since as it's mostly finished, would there be anything I could do or offer to convince you to let me take it and have someone finish it? My goal is to get it into the game for the entire community to enjoy.

That's amazing so far. the UP big power program always caught my interest. If I only had the talent I'd gladly help you finish it. If you ever find the time, I'd gladly kick in some funding to commision its completion to help your motivation to do so.

At the moment I have not to much time and im a bit unmotivated. For logo and colour of the GE50 I can maybee do something.
The DDA40X has is nearly finished 3D Modell but still no colour https://skfb.ly/6yv7x

Maik, I'd loved to see that DD40 you mentioned.
Gregory_TheGamer 26 Dec, 2017 @ 4:36am
If you could just make the GE U50 colorable and use the logos from the game as that fits my expectations better, then that would be amazing! Love these locos but it's just that they are railroad dependant.

Dear Sir, I absolutely love your GE 50 locomotive. It has basically become my go :to locomotive for long trains. It has bascially replaced the big boy for the modern era. In the current game that I am now playing, I have two of them pulling twenty tank cars supplying crude oil to my refinary. I love the engine sounds & how the model looks. Although I am no expert on the real locomotives, I would love to see this locomotive in other paint scemes & if possible, I would love to hear a bell on it. I would definitely love to see a Union Pacific paint sceme on the little alcoe 600 switch engine. Please keep up the superb work. Thank you. :steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy:

Malik, the U-boat series are a bunch of these engines built around the same time, with the designations of U (insert number here) and then a B or C depending on what kind of wheel trucks they used, i believe there was one that also followed the CH because there was a U-boat that served the New Jersey Transit for a while
Zappierchimp 17 Sep, 2017 @ 11:58pm
Oh, Maik. I know, but in the actual layout, that's what I was comparing. Note: the word "Also". None of this is meant to be taken as patronizing, so sorry if it came across like that.
Doden 17 Sep, 2017 @ 6:18pm
holy fuck these look and sound so fucking good i love them so much
MaikC  [author] 17 Sep, 2017 @ 3:41am
Not really, the DDA40X was build years later (1969-1971) ;) At the same time (and at he same UP requirement) with the U50 there build the EMD DD35 and the ALCO Centruy 855
Zappierchimp 16 Sep, 2017 @ 8:29pm
Almost seems like GE's attempt at the DDA40X Centennial Locomotive.
Tomahawk109 16 Sep, 2017 @ 1:56am
U-boat series is a nickname for GE Universal series locomotives like U50(C), U36B etc.
MaikC  [author] 15 Sep, 2017 @ 4:52am
What you mean with U-Boat-series? The U50C is nearly done and I have build a DDA40X
NovaStarX 15 Sep, 2017 @ 1:16am
any chance we will be seeing any more of the U-Boat Series from you?
Rumcajz 14 Sep, 2017 @ 9:38pm

I have a 3D-modell oft the ACS-64 50% finished , a gift from a retired modder. But has not high priority to finish that at the moment.
Dell Conagher 13 Sep, 2017 @ 9:50am
@Maik [Ger] - HELL YEAH!!! I'm looking forward to see an ACS-64 loco!
MaikC  [author] 13 Sep, 2017 @ 9:45am
Thanks for all the postive replies ;)
And I have some good news, it's not the end of the road. The GE U50C, the EMD DDA40X and for more modern age the GE AC6000CW will follow. It just takes time.

The uggly ducklings that really are a marvel because they're functional
Tall_Paul 11 Sep, 2017 @ 5:02pm
YES! Beautiful job on this "mod"!
Another of the "BIG" Union Pacific locomotives like the 5,000 hp "Veranda" turbines, 8,500 hp "Big Blow" turbines, and 6,600 hp DDA-40X "Centenials". I'm very happy I got to see the real engines years ago. Thanks again for the EXCELLENT "mod".

Ich habe aus dem wikipediartikel abgeschrieben und tatsächlich sollte man sich auf die Daten da nicht verlassen. 2500PS sind nicht 1900kW sonderm 1838kW. Korrekt wäre also 3676kW.
Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister 11 Sep, 2017 @ 1:36pm
Like always, great work!
Lev-Steyner 11 Sep, 2017 @ 1:08pm
Nachtrag:

Wären 2x 1,900 kW nicht zusammen 3,800 kW? ;-)
dannyST 11 Sep, 2017 @ 1:00pm
Cool !!
Lev-Steyner 11 Sep, 2017 @ 12:58pm
Super Arbeit! Vielen Dank.

Frage: Könntet ihr die auch als Rückwärts-Variante anbieten, so das man die als Doppeltraktion koppeln kann?
CocoJacoby 11 Sep, 2017 @ 12:43pm
Nice!
