@Baffle In theory, they did it because "it made sense" or "it didn't fit the theme".

More likely, they did it out of spite, because many of the things that "made sense" to remove only made sense if you no longer desired to do any work on it.
(thus, why the original mechs were nuked)

Stupid crap like removing the whole pizza, the multiple colors of several things, and the Racial Themed Weapons were just that, *stupid*.

Why did ChuckleFIish remove so many things in Giraffe? Was there any explanation? This game has tons of goodies and complexities but they all add to the sense of discovery in the game. Why remove any good ideas or established items? Doesn't make sense.

Someone recently restored the old blue-colored Pet Food Bowl object, and you can even put food in it cause he restored that function too!
Problem is they have yet to restore the pet eating from the bowl and the pet getting full from eating enough and getting hungry from not eating at all.
He is requesting help... and I ask if you can help him. You two seem really capable of doing this kind of stuff, and I bet you two can do it together.

I hear you. Honestly, I'm still sore over a lot of the losses during Giraffe, though my big gripe is the loss of customizable turrets.

True, and sorry if I sounded insulting. I was just hoping someone would someday add the old functions back into the game somehow. It would work wonders with mods people are currently making. Someone already added the pet food bowl back into the game. Anyways, I do appreciate this little mod, it is very nice having a nice look at the past in the present.

Tell that, to Chucklefish, not me. They're the one that stripped the pet-interactive items and functions from the game. All I did here was reactivate an item in tge state they left it.

Well, it sounds idiotic for this to be used only by NPCs, it would be nice for pets to use this too, but I'm all for adding this back in for Nostalgia.

Don't be ridiculous, I wouldn't JUST make them sleep in dog houses. I'd put their food in the pet bowls and put them in front of the dog houses. <:
