I have no idea. It just seems to work sometimes, and with some skins, and not with others. :/
True. I can understand if an animation gets bugged out because the reload duration is longer than the animation itself, but it bugs in L4D2 when the reload duration is shorter. Sometimes the animation just speeds up smoothly to fit into the shorter timeframe, but other times, it speeds up too much and finishes too early, then replays the last bit of the reload again before finishing. It's really odd.
In other source games, this is true. But in Left 4 Dead 2, I can change the reload speed. However, there seems to be an issue on some guns when the reload speed is increased, where the gun will finish its animation and then repeat the last 10% or so again before finishing. Clearly, reload speeds were never meant to be edited in this game, but I can still get away with it, because sometimes the animation bug just doesn't happen with some weapons. I also noticed that the animation bug happened with one skin I was using, but not different skin. So yeah, complicated.
Really? Hmm... If it had an 8-round clip, it wouldn't really be a revolver anymore, would it? But I'll take a look into the reload speed next time I use this and see if I can maybe speed it up a bit.
@scouting war 90: This mod is just a script, not a weapon model replacer. To get your Desert Eagle to look like a Revolver, you'll need to find a revolver mod. Is that the problem you had?
I'll consider making such a mod. Actually, hang on, how do you even make a Primary a Secondary? Eh, it's probably just a line in the weapon scripts. If I give it a go, I'll figure it out. I assume since you're requesting one that there aren't any good ones out there? I swear I saw a Secondary Shotguns mod a while back. Is there something wrong with it?
As for the secondary shotgun thing, I'm... not sure. The idea of forcing a primary weapon into a secondary role... It could very easily destabilise the game. What I mean by that is, you might suddenly be able to survive in places where by all rights you shouldn't, or you might be out of ammo in a section where range would be necessary (like an open, Smoker-prone area). Plus, it's very... "unnatural" if that makes any sense, seeing a shotgun in your pistol slot. Does any of this make sense? It feels like I'm saying a lot without getting my feeling across. xD
The model I used in the images is this one:

But there's a newer version of that same model here:

There are also several different colours available for both those mods, if the mood takes you. :)
This mod makes magnum REALLY pleasing and fun to use! Thanks again!
If you're after something slower and more realistic, try my other Revolver script ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1136436815 ) or one of the many revolver-type scripts on the workshop. I just made this one because it can be a lot of fun to fire a weapon as fast as you can pull the trigger.
