Using this with ultimate gravity mod v.4 is very fun. And this mod is very easy to use if you know how to count round in the chamber in stressful situations.:steamhappy:

@Artyom:
I have no idea. It just seems to work sometimes, and with some skins, and not with others. :/
Jericho 5 Dec, 2018 @ 3:53pm
It probably involes negative values or something along that line where it finishes up but it's told that it should still be playing so the excess time get tacked up and reverses the animation by an amount to fill in the time.
Lankycide  [author] 5 Dec, 2018 @ 12:11pm
@Artyom:
True. I can understand if an animation gets bugged out because the reload duration is longer than the animation itself, but it bugs in L4D2 when the reload duration is shorter. Sometimes the animation just speeds up smoothly to fit into the shorter timeframe, but other times, it speeds up too much and finishes too early, then replays the last bit of the reload again before finishing. It's really odd.
Jericho 5 Dec, 2018 @ 10:54am
Depends on much the animation can be stretched out. The more frames the animation has the longer it can be stretched out. It is complicated.

@Artyom:
In other source games, this is true. But in Left 4 Dead 2, I can change the reload speed. However, there seems to be an issue on some guns when the reload speed is increased, where the gun will finish its animation and then repeat the last 10% or so again before finishing. Clearly, reload speeds were never meant to be edited in this game, but I can still get away with it, because sometimes the animation bug just doesn't happen with some weapons. I also noticed that the animation bug happened with one skin I was using, but not different skin. So yeah, complicated.
Jericho 3 Dec, 2018 @ 7:56am
I don’t think you can script the reload speed. It’s determined by the animation length.
Lankycide  [author] 3 Dec, 2018 @ 7:34am
@Alex Stargazer:
Really? Hmm... If it had an 8-round clip, it wouldn't really be a revolver anymore, would it? But I'll take a look into the reload speed next time I use this and see if I can maybe speed it up a bit.
Alex Stargazer 24 Nov, 2018 @ 8:39am
This gun is too frustrating—I spend most of my time reloading the damn thing. It would work better if it were clip_size 8 and reload duration 1.5.
Lankycide  [author] 7 Apr, 2018 @ 9:07am
Very nice! I didn't know that gun existed on the workshop. Thanks for that, even I will use it. :D
Jericho 7 Apr, 2018 @ 1:42am
Plus it's the same model pistol as in the thumbnail.

@farrow24: Right, good point, I didn't even consider that. xD

@scouting war 90: This mod is just a script, not a weapon model replacer. To get your Desert Eagle to look like a Revolver, you'll need to find a revolver mod. Is that the problem you had?
Ice Cream Mann 11 Mar, 2018 @ 11:18am
I feel like he might have teh same problem as me, the model is the same as the in game magnum. I think that's his problem.
Lankycide  [author] 10 Mar, 2018 @ 1:04pm
@scouting war 90: You're going to have to give me a bit more info than that if I'm going to be able to help you. Is it loaded and ticked in your in-game Addons list? Did you restart the game after subscribing? Do you have any other mods that may be conflicting? Most importantly, are you trying to use this script in an online match?
scouting war 90 10 Mar, 2018 @ 10:25am
its not working, magnum is normal
Ice Cream Mann 18 Feb, 2018 @ 10:26am
Yup, don't have it but I know what you mean for I have seen it. Anyways, have a good day or night.
Lankycide  [author] 17 Feb, 2018 @ 12:57pm
Yeah, no worries. Play whatever is most fun for you. That's what I do. And in many games, I prefer it easier than harder. ;) An example is the new DOOM (2016). Dang but that game can get brutal on the hard difficulties, holy heck. xD
Ice Cream Mann 17 Feb, 2018 @ 8:04am
Eh... I can work without the secondary mod, even with the scripts, and I don't think I'm good enough in my own opinion to try anything above normal diffculty in L4D2 but the scripts are cool.
Lankycide  [author] 16 Feb, 2018 @ 11:55pm
Ah. You like my stats better, and want the two combined? xD
Ice Cream Mann 16 Feb, 2018 @ 3:40pm
The only mod I know of is teh one that makes the primary tier one shotguns into secondaries but I uninstalled it to test out your scripts and I like the scripts a lot.
Lankycide  [author] 16 Feb, 2018 @ 1:03pm
Yeah, I see your point. Sorry if my mods are only really aimed at a more hardcore kind of gameplay. :) I personally only ever play on Advanced and Expert, and I feel that Advanced is too easy and Expert can very easily become too hard. I'm not bragging or trying to be a show off, I'm just trying to explain that I have no idea what people who prefer a more casual approach would want, since I have no point of reference. xD

I'll consider making such a mod. Actually, hang on, how do you even make a Primary a Secondary? Eh, it's probably just a line in the weapon scripts. If I give it a go, I'll figure it out. I assume since you're requesting one that there aren't any good ones out there? I swear I saw a Secondary Shotguns mod a while back. Is there something wrong with it?
Ice Cream Mann 16 Feb, 2018 @ 7:09am
I understand but the add on is helpful mostly for the fact that I'm not that good at the game, so something to keep me alive is nice.
Lankycide  [author] 16 Feb, 2018 @ 12:14am
Yeah, scripts will always conflict because every stat available to a weapon is in one .txt file, so if one does something and another does something else, one takes dominance. It's impossible to merge text from two text documents. Hope the explanation helps! :)

As for the secondary shotgun thing, I'm... not sure. The idea of forcing a primary weapon into a secondary role... It could very easily destabilise the game. What I mean by that is, you might suddenly be able to survive in places where by all rights you shouldn't, or you might be out of ammo in a section where range would be necessary (like an open, Smoker-prone area). Plus, it's very... "unnatural" if that makes any sense, seeing a shotgun in your pistol slot. Does any of this make sense? It feels like I'm saying a lot without getting my feeling across. xD
Ice Cream Mann 15 Feb, 2018 @ 3:47pm
Thats good, just do what you can man. Also I have a request invovling the pump shotgun and the chrome shotgun, if you have changed the scripts for those yet can you possibly make them work like the pistols? I ask mostly for the reason I use the secondary shotgun mode and most scripts that change how the shotguns work conflict with each other for some reason I don't know.
Lankycide  [author] 15 Feb, 2018 @ 7:50am
Yeah. Still, it's not like I don't have the time. xD I updated the description for this mod though, as you can see above. :)
Ice Cream Mann 15 Feb, 2018 @ 6:37am
Could work, you don't need to rush, do as many as you can in one day if you can't do much then don't feel bad about it at least you have a few less to do.
Lankycide  [author] 14 Feb, 2018 @ 10:13pm
I think that's a great idea, because I have to send model links fairly regularly. xD Trouble is, I have to add links to every single one of my mods, and I have 42 of them... Perhaps I should just do them one at a time every time I send someone a link?
Ice Cream Mann 14 Feb, 2018 @ 6:05pm
You know what would be a good idea? adding a link to the models you used for your in game pictures so people could get them easier and not pull a stupid like I did. Its just a suggestion though, you don't have to take it.
Lankycide  [author] 12 Feb, 2018 @ 2:26am
Yeah, this is just a script. ;)

The model I used in the images is this one:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=146726644

But there's a newer version of that same model here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=588349724

There are also several different colours available for both those mods, if the mood takes you. :)
Ice Cream Mann 11 Feb, 2018 @ 9:33am
Unless there's a model for that gun and I'm just stupid and missed it on the workshop.
Ice Cream Mann 11 Feb, 2018 @ 8:48am
There seems to be a problem with this, for some reason the model doesn't change from a magnum to a revoler but the amount of ammo in the clip did change.
Lankycide  [author] 21 Jan, 2018 @ 11:24pm
Yeah, I'm with you there. Having a revolver that physically holds only 6 rounds but has 8 in-game is really immersion breaking. This script may be unrealisticas all get out, but I still managed to make it reasonably balanced too, and it's a lot of fun to use. And that's the whole point of this mod. :)
JotNyangE 20 Jan, 2018 @ 4:48am
Working perfectly., I've always been disturbed how those amazing Magnum models have only 6 rounds but in-game its 8...plus a bit slow.

This mod makes magnum REALLY pleasing and fun to use! Thanks again!
Lankycide  [author] 20 Jan, 2018 @ 12:00am
No prob. :) Enjoy the script! It is a labour of love.
JotNyangE 19 Jan, 2018 @ 9:53pm
cool thanks man
OVK029 18 Oct, 2017 @ 4:09am
like csgo ok i understand
Lankycide  [author] 16 Oct, 2017 @ 1:19pm
That's the entire point of this script, hence the "Gunslinger" name. Oh, and nd 0.3 is the vanilla fire rate. :)

If you're after something slower and more realistic, try my other Revolver script ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1136436815 ) or one of the many revolver-type scripts on the workshop. I just made this one because it can be a lot of fun to fire a weapon as fast as you can pull the trigger.
OVK029 16 Oct, 2017 @ 12:22pm
has a to high firerate 0.35 is standard
