@ShadowX & Falerin:
Oh wow. How did I miss that? My apologies for that. I have no excuse. It has been fixed on both mods as of now, and I even credited you in the update notes. Thanks for letting me know. :)

In the description for both the M1014 script and this SPAS-12 script, you said:
"Also, both Semi-auto Shotguns now have 150 reserve ammo, since I switched their ammo types to the Hunting Rifle's."

You then changed their ammo back, as stated in the below conversation about Witches:
"EDIT: I switched the ammo types back to the default ones, because my Gamemode gives them more ammo instead."

@ShadowX & Falerin:
Wait, I'm confused. What confusion do you mean? Is there something incorrect in my description?

I was quite confused by the normal ammo capacity for the SPAS and M1014, so I came back here. Noticed in the comments below you switched the ammo type back to their own instead of the Hunting Rifle.

I politely request that you edit the description of the two mods to reflect this, in order to avoid further user confusion.

Yeah, I know what you mean. A nice round 8 looks better for you, am I right? xD Still, with all my scripts installed, every single shotgun has a different magazine size and I prefer that over a rounder number.

but its still a great mod.

prefrence because i think of a spas being an 8 round shotgun not a 9 round shotgun.

Sneak peek behind the scenes. Originally I had it set to 8 rounds, because that's the long-tubed SPAS-12's actual capacity. But you can fit a ninth shell in if it's in the chamber, so I rather went with that. Is it just visual preference, or gameplay issues that makes you want it reduced?

no offense i like the idea but i think 8 round mag would be better.

An interesting bit of insight, and I can understand what you're saying. Although, my Scout and AWP scripts will solve a Witch problem just as easily as a shotgun, and I don't like the way a shotgun kills Witches so easily. Truth be told, I didn't know that switching the shotgun ammo type would remove that effect, but the Pump-action Shotguns use the old "auto shotgun" ammo now too, so it's not entirely removed. Just mitigated.

EDIT: I switched the ammo types back to the default ones, because my Gamemode gives them more ammo instead. Also, fun fact you may be interested in. By default, the game grants a 5x damage boost to shotguns when firing at a range of 200 or less (exactly the same range a Jockey bot can leap from, to put things into perspective). I wanted to remove that, but instead, I simply reduced the damage bonus to 2x. Just thought you'd find this interesting. :)

A Witch encounter normally comes down to a few solutions:

1. Get up close and personal with a shotgun, wait 'til she gives you a clear shot, pull the trigger (twice on Advanced or higher).
2. Get a high ground and ignite her. She runs slower and cannot climb. Pray that the collision will save you against her attack's range.
3. Run past her. A bot will likely eat their pills AND use a medkit after failing to understand the concept of personal space.
4. Just plain kill her. Stunning with a sniper rifle (Hunting Rifle ammo only?) or explosive ammo upgrade helps a great deal.

On Realism the shotgun trick does no longer work, and she kills you instantly. You can always push a bot close to her and run away. This idiot will not be missed.

A Witch can be rather frustrating when everyone is B/W and she sits in front of a safe room (or inside). A Witch usually means a loss of a health kit/defibrillator, so an easy way of killing her isn't one of my complaints.

Good grief. Then it may be a good thing I switched their ammo type then. The Witch shouldn't be killed so easily! :O

The "cr0wning" comes from an achievement in Left 4 Dead 1 (one). It is described as managing to kill the Witch in a single headshot. Logically, this should have meant doing this with a hunting rifle, but that only stuns her. Killing her without startling (while she is stunned) earns the achievement, and the same can be achieved by shooting her point-blank with any shotgun on Normal or Easy. This is because the shotguns ammo does extra damage up close (x5 according to the game's wikia), and the already overkill 250 damage takes the Witch'es 1000 HP in a blink of an eye.

Sorry if this sounds noobish, but what does it mean to cr0wn a Witch? That's when you stun it with a shot, right?
Alex_D #NoWar 22 Sep, 2017 @ 9:17am
A side effect of changing the shotgun ammo type to another is its inability to cr0wn Witches in one point-blank shot. This works both ways: if you have a sniper rifle that uses the shotgun ammo type AND deals around 250 damage per shot, you'll still be able to cr0wn the Witch, on Normal that is.
