Clementine`s story is a sad one. Her city was one of many targeted for the dropped alien pods that killed many people and turned many others into a kind of undead zombie. She was left stranded as the city was turned into a hellhole.
She tells us she was rescued by a man named Lee who protected her and taught her how to survive in the horror. When he himself was infected, she was forced to cope alone and survived bit by bit, sometimes with the help of a few survivors most of whom died. This way she grew up for nigh a decade trapped, not even realising that Advent existed.
She is now a hardened 18 year old, skilled in detecting, fighting and avoiding the zombies effciently and will be of great value to Xcom no doubt. However, she has a childlike quietness and is often alone in her thoughts and one can only wonder at the horrors she must`ve witnessed as a young child.
