@Xoatl - This mod has nothing to do with spawning empires in the game itself, that's just a core part of the game, this mod only removes them from the empire screen as per the screenshot.

this is at the bottom of the mod list, i dont get the pdx custom empires showing up on new game but commonwealth of man still spawns

@Doctor Proteus: I assume you are using Human Variety it adds file "00_top_countries.txt" which includes humans 1 and 2.

@Doctor Proteus - this mod is a bunch of empty text files, it can't change the name of or add anything, so more likely than not you have some other mod that is adding something, however if you can send me a list of the file names inside your prescripted_countries folder I can check for you. You can also try putting this mod last in your load order if you haven't already. If my mod clears out these files, then you load some other mod after it which modified that file, you'll see the premade empires popping back in.

Works mostly but the two Human factions are still there and the first one is now called "humans1". The rest of the races are gone.

Yeah its little strange how many mods make slight changes to the prescripted countries, I just renamed your file with an ! so it always goes to the bottom of my load order, easy enough fix :Blessing:

Yeah it's still fine, 99% of the time when someone posts here that it's 'not working' they just have a conflicting mod or need to unsub/resub to the mod so the launcher properly pulls all the files.

Grand Archive just added two new default species, updates? —thanks, you're awesome! :mhwgood: I've been using your mod alongside saving default species as custom ones to control their appearance. It’s surprising that there's still no simple option to toggle default species on or off. I wonder why the devs or modders haven’t created that feature yet

Wonder if you'd consider removing the Federated Theian Preservers? They are a default species, but they are created via a starting initializer (Titawin) instead of via prescripted species. It's annoying to see them pop up so often.

It's true, after disabling the mod and starting a new ironman the crisis still doesn't spawn. Neither does the Khan

I guess it's just paradox being paradox

@Blyat - this mod is like seven blank text files that overwrite some config text files, they cannot affect game code so no, it's not this. It would be a bug in the tech beta unrelated to this mod.

So after having uninstalled the game, then reinstalled just now, I went to see if the humans1 issue is gone.

It is! But now I am stuck with United Nations of Earth and Commonwealth of Man as default empires that I can't remove.

I don't have any other mods installed at all either.

I just can't win Q_Q

@Furuchi go to the mod folder of the mod you want to change (you can click on the '...' next to the mod in the launcher to open the folder it's in) - look for a 'prescripted countries' folder and go in there and you'll find text files that contain the 'default' ones to create - just open the text file, delete the text and save. Of course every time the mod updates you'll have to do that again :)

I don't think that's really possible @Furuchi, I can't predict/know what files other mods will add to be able to overwrite them - also it would only work if my mod was after them in the load order anyway, so a few issues in the way there.

@Teal I tried the fix you suggested! Didn't work though ._.

I then tried to re-install the game... Did not work.

I then unsubscribed from all mods, resubscribed to this mod, still have humans1 at the bottom of the empire list.

I have no idea what went wrong. But thank you for the help!

@Milaboo - Go to this folder wherever you have steam installed - Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\1142142725 - thats my mod, delete everything in there, unsubscribe on steam, then resubscribe, so it redownloads. That's all I can really think of I'm afraid, if it's not that, it has to be some other mod interfering. Cause again, this mod is just empty text files - it can't add anything :)

Thanks for letting me know - that's fixed now. They created a new file just for human empires, for some reason. If you can't get it to work just unsubscribe and resubscribe to force steam to redownload the files.

No other mods running. Maybe you can look into this?

well i had that humans1 too.
i checked the mod found 00_top_countries.txt still had a country left.
changed the line 21 "playable = has_not_humanoids # scripted_triggers" to "playable = no # scripted_triggers" fixed it.
(i deleted every line first, then i found a crash reporter)

i have the humans 1 empire left over, ive only owned the game for a few days so there shouldnt be any old files here for me. anyway to fix this?

Usually this is a conflicting mod or corrupt mod files - try unsubscribing and resubscribing, but the paradox launch is notorious for having old/outdated file sometimes for no explicable reason.

@LiquidThicc - Yep that's correct, and I set the version to 3.*.* long ago so it shouldn't even display as 'out of date' either :) Should just continue to work normally.
