Well that was quick, Furu's changed their mod so mod-users can add abilities in directly.

Is there any chance of you updating this to use Furu's CommanderHUD? I realise it's been... a year or two since this was last updated.

I dont suppose that LWOTC is not compatible due to the new classes not having the correct information in their files? Similar to the allies unknown soldiers mentioned earlier, I doubt they'd contain the correct code.

This mod does not work with LWOTC 2. You attempt to activate the ability, and confirm and then it just skips that soldier's turn and nothing ever happens.

For some reason, during a lost mission where I was retrieving supplies, one soldier bleeding out, another unconscious, a third wounded and the fourth evac'ed via jetpack, I surrendered with my remaining 3 because there was no way I was going to get them out safely. There was a third faction of Chaos marines who overwatched the entire area, 99 lost on the wall, a neon pink sectopod that screamed like a nazgul, I decided to surrender then. However it seems that all my soldiers somehow managed to get aboard the Skyranger and back to the Avenger.

allies unknown soldiers dont have surrender, u have have to add them in xcomsurrender.ini:

Yep. You need to have special knowledge to do anything UI related. There very few people who can do it in this community.

An idea for improvement of the mod: remove the action bar button and add a tactical button in the upper-right corner of the screen, next to the 'Call Skyranger' button. This would declutter the action bar and treat it more like a special action, instead of a common action.

I'll get this mod just for the heck of it, but when it comes to XCOM 2 Combat I live by these to quotes: "We shall defend our world, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender." "Victory or Death!" so I'll prob never use it. Cool mod nevertheless.

Hi! Is there a way to make it so this ability is placed near the Evac button? I havent really seen mods touch that part of the HUD before, so I'm unsure if its possible. Cheers!

Does this mod overwrite the X2Effect_BleedingOut in config? I discovered recently I had multiple mods that both used this file causing a strange 30-40 fps drop every time any unit took any action. Need to nail down all the culprits and I think this one might possibly be one of them.

The multiple times that I played with it showed them as KIA. It could have been just bad luck. But when I set it to 100% and 0% during testing I didn't look at the after action report.

Are soldiers listed as captured or KIA in the after action screen?

It won't appear before breaking concealment, or on missions where soldiers can't be captured (such as Gatecrasher).

This mod doesn't work me. The soldiers are always executed no matter what PercentChanceToFail I set in the config.

Noted that surrendering during the black site mission also retrieves the vial if you have collected it firstly.

Seems to be a glitch when reloading Sniper, then using steady aim - twice now it is has fully surrendered my full squad right at end of a mission that I was almost winning :(

That isn't the mod, the game resets bonds on captured soldiers (except for those captured by the Chosen)

used the surrender and found it unbonded my solldiers that was level bond 1 and 3. Reset them to no bond

Every VIP mission there's a chance for the VIP to be a soldier that was captured by ADVENT, but it's not guranteed. Sounds like you've only had 1-2 council missions since they were captured so it's a matter of luck. Start Your Own Missions will let you forcespawn rescue missions but I don't know if it works with WOTC.

I'm just wondering, I've had four soldiers captured for a while now using surrender, but their rescue missions never seem to come up after a month or so, is that normal?

Does this mod change the way picking up bodies work, by any chance? I've just lost 3 soldiers in a row due to them bleeding out and being unable to pick them up for evac, and it only started becoming a major problem after installing this.

Used this in Legacy,works really well when things go sideways( like popping a mec while on a roof top on your last soldiers move:) gives you a chance to rescue remaining squad later on rather than them getting totally wiped out. THANKS for updating it !
