I think I figured it out. I think the props are set for only certain types of armor. People wearing Exo-Suits cant wear this

It seems like the armor doesnt show up for some male characters which is odd

@sirsian

Would take a little bit of time for someone who knows what they're doing: archetypes are just files that contain references to the mesh/etc. as well as the prop type, and the XCOMContent.ini and Localization.int changes just have to follow suit with the other data values.
Then it just has to be rebuilt.

@Derejin Thank for the prompt reply and the permission. I'll see if I can get any help on that as I can't do it myself coz of the SDK requiring HDD space. Is the process time consuming?

@sirsian

Sorry, but likely not: it's been awhile and I tend to have other priorities at the moment.
You have permission to make it yourself, though, if you want. Anyone has that permission. :)

The half cape itself was an existing prop that I just changed up a little and applied to the torso: someone would just have to open my mod up and add additional Archetypes that apply it to the prop locations you mentioned, as well as update the localization+content .inis to make them accessible.

Hi, I really like your armor with the half cape. Will you consider making the half cape into Helmet, upper/lower prop?
Derejin  [autor] 28 JUL 2018 a las 1:22
@Saint
Read the Known Issues section.
The cape requires a torso equipped that has a "Cloak" socket, which can be modded into an existing torso OR may be part of other modded torsos (I think the Advent Pathfinder torsos, for example, have this same socket).

This mod's torso has it.
Ergo, use this mod's torso, a torso from another mod that has a "Cloak" socket, or mod the socket onto the torso you want to use. :)

@Colva_Moon123

If you mean use it in-game: simply set your character's Secondary Color on their armor and it'll obey. Darker colors won't produce as bright a light (i.e. black won't glow at all).

If you mean create it: this is the first mod I know of that utilizes this tech, as I updated the material itself to do this. Feel free to download the mod and examine it in the XCOM 2 Mod Tools and reverse-engineer it for your own mod, though I'd appreciate credit!

How do you do the glowing light on the armor?

Woaw!

I stumbled on this mod while just browsing the workshop cause I was bored. This is by far one of the best armor mods Ive seen!

Awesome job!

@Proxy Gentlemen

To clarify, I mean in the comments thread for the WOTC version of this mod. It's not hard to find the specific posts.

Sorry - was in a rush when I posted. :)
Derejin  [autor] 7 NOV 2017 a las 18:21
@Proxxy Gentlemen
I actually posted about that in the WOTC version of this mod.
In short, the cape doesn't work with anything that doesn't have a specific "Cloak" socket on the Ribcage bone of the equipped Torso prop.

In long - go to the WOTC thread and go back a page or two. I have two posts in a row detailing this further as well as informing how to fix the issue manually for torsos from other mods if you don't mind using the devkit.

That aside, the torso this mod adds is cape compatible, even if torsos from other mods (or vanilla) are not. :)

@Derejin Having issues with the cape physics, I assume it's an incompatibility with another mod (I run a lot of mods, mostly prop customization mods) The cape physics work when customizing the character but stands back behind the character when in mission or on the main menu. I'm attempting to locate the conflicting mod, but otherwise this mod is awesome and the capes look excellent!

@MLG gamer

Ensure that you aren't using the wrong version of the mod (i.e. don't use the War of the Chosen version for vanilla, and vice versa), and then just go to the props menu for any soldier.

Ensure that the mod is activated in the launcher, as well.

My game shows that the mod is on but it doesn't work. Any ideas? I also didn't use any other mods.
Cyber Von Cyberus 5 OCT 2017 a las 7:23
Holy crap, how did I not see this before ?

The armors are indeed as aweswome as they look, thanks man. The perfect armor for my sith juggernaut. :D
Ludibrius 27 SEP 2017 a las 5:22
I love the amount of customization in this, I'll have to give it a try! Including the tintable "Lighst" in the second preview picture.
EMfourthree 27 SEP 2017 a las 4:11
fuck this looks awesome
Derejin  [autor] 27 SEP 2017 a las 3:55
@CapainKampfkeks

Thank you!

The cape currently in there is a slightly modded version of the Advent Captain's cape - I mainly made that cape in order to figure out how the physics system (and capes themselves) work.

Now that it's done, I can try to make more accessories for it, including more impressive capes - depending on what people want.
Plus, I might be able to figure out how to make the capes as shoulder accessories (that still appear on the torso), and merely as part of torso variants, so that might help too!
CaptainKampfkeks 27 SEP 2017 a las 3:53
This looks very nice. We needed more capes, anyway. Can't wait to check them out.
