Your description is pretty poor.
You should know that this mod only removes two weather matinees.
And not every map uses the same atmospheric effects.

So god help me, I cannot get rid of this fog. Not with admin commands, not with mods, not with changes to the ini files, nothing. And this doesn't work, either. Is there really no working solution at all???

If there was such a solution there wouldn't be any need for this mod to exist. ;)
Since DisableWeatherFog= doesn't even work on every map, you should be happy and thankful for this existing mod. :)

Is there any way to remove just the fog in the game files without having to use the mod? because I want to keep everything original but just remove the fog

I didn't have any response on the mod's discord, the community is practically dead

This worked beautifully for me so far in single player. I spawned it in with the following:

gfi fogremover 1 0 0

And the second I placed it, the blinding white fog in The Center vanished.

i put this on my server but can't get the item itself so im still stuck with the mod, does anyone have a command to spawn it in?

Depends on your client settings, but this has nothing to do with the mod itself because the fog remover only disables two weather matinees (like mentioned above).
Do you run any game launch params like low memory, nomansky or anything like that?

The mod is working fine for me!
I think the people below me aren't using it right. First you learn the fog removing engram which cost nothing, then craft the statue which costs 1 thatch. Place the statue down and BAM, no fog.

This made the fog on the island even thicker! I could barely see my dinosaurs head much less where I was going. This mod is TERRIBLE!

If you are not fine with this mod that was released almost 5 years (!) ago - why don't you download the editor and create a fog remover on your own?
Blaming is the easiest way in life. ;)
I like the way this mod works (even after all changes Wildcard released after mod creation).

So what your saying is, this mod indeed in fact does NOT remove ALL FOG on the map as the description sais but rather ONLY from render distance...as if thats hte case, then the point of this mod is mute and pointless....Id like ot hear from the mod author Mistrfister how this is exactly meant to work.

Even though I'm far off in hours compared to you (dude yours are insane! :D), I've still played long enough to know that WC likes to flip everything upside-down for modders (and players haha) every now and then :p

It wouldn't hurt for mrfister to update the description though, or add that hotbar-tip you just shared (had no idea about that, thanks! <3 )

As far as you didn't know this, hulth:
You can even remove fog while you are travveling around a map.
Just drag a remover into your action bar and click it once (such as to place it) and fog around you will instantly be removed.

Mhm....
It does what it does.
For early modders it's of course not funny to rework every mod after WC changes something years later.
I do understand this point totally.
However.... my answer could tell you at least a bit to know about this circumstance.

Aggroviking, probably because it states it will "remove all fog on your map" and not "fog within render distance". Yeah sure there was a nice fog-free bubble around my base, but by definition I'm still going to call this mod broken as it doesn't do what it says :P

I don't understand why the remover doesn't work for some of you guys.
Works as intended - since years; even on lost island.
You just have to place a remover in your base and/or take one with you.
Will remove dense fog everytime within your render distance.

Doesn't seem to work on lost island on our unofficial Lost Island server. I don't understand why it's foggy every 10 minutes, do they not want us to see their map?

For anybody who is unsure, this does appear to work on the new map, The Lost Island. Works for me anyway. I have -nomansky startup flag on. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it working or not (probably doesn't).

This mod does something seemingly simple, but it changes the game in a positive way so significantly.

When Gen 2 Came out it broke your fog remover when I updated it I got error so I uninstalled
and reinstalled and it will not install I love your mods can you help?

we just added this onto the center map and it does not remove fog. After installing this mod once in-game i found it made my movement stagger every few seconds. Had to uninstall this mod.
