Cataph just added some unit abilities as his interpretation of the tabletop rules that CA didn't implement like Martial Prowess, Always Strikes First, Stubborn, etc. Anyways, thanks for the mod. I don't understand why CA included Bleakswords but not helf swordsmen. They've done it before tho. Goblin Spears with no goblin unit just armed with hand weapons.

it's been a while since i modded but if i wanted to make a closer to tabletop version of this for personal use i guess i would just open CTT and this in PFM and add the changes that Cataph makes to high elves, right?

Great mod! Technologies, traits, and the red branch of skills affect swordsmen (I haven't tested unique resources yet). But it seems to me that to the peculiarity of the Ivress faction you need to add +3 levels to swordsmen (in vanilla +3 levels to spearmen and rangers). The developers wanted to give Ivress buffs not specifically for spearmen and rangers, but for low-level non-rifle infantry (which swordsmen are).

For me I only build barracks just for the Spearmen and Archers, but since I already build the Level 1 Barracks, why not just go full circle and get the Lothern Sea Guard.
But now since the Spearmen and Archers are instantly unlocked the only reason to build barracks is probably if you really like Lothern Sea Guards.

Pretty sure most people are building barracks still, but i see your point and ill add them to the main settlement recruitable units

Kinda Irrelevant due to High Elves Spearmen now only need the main Capital Building, so no barracks needed.
Either Put them in the same building or make them a little bit stronger(by stronger maybe more melee attack but less melee defense, which is already reinforced by the Martial Prowess)

Hey Ado, I made myself a mod that adds the Tech and character skill bonuses your Swordsmen get so that you can actually see them in-game. (Movement speed +5% for Rangers, Swordsmen etc)

Let me know if you want the text file for it, that's all it is. =)

Maybe there is a requirement I'm missing, but nope. I don't see those beautiful manes, only the pin head helmets. I know its the Lough Henney or Gallowglass Helmet, but I ain't no hipster.
