The Advent guys are standard Uniformed grunts who mostly lack identity and are sometime bad shots (thinking of normal troopers here) just like the Stormtroopers.
The Skirmisher's are less uniformly with most of them having their own custom armor and have plenty of uniform and over time can become powerful warriors just like the Clone troopers.
Their just nicknames that they either chose themselves or others start calling them that, the names could just be random that they pick or based on their talents or a notable action for example a Clone named Fives was named so because his unit designation was CT-5555.
Their "birth" names are the aforementioned designation for example CT-5555 is his birth name.
I presume that Advent might go a similar way and it's even possible that most of them don' t choose names until they become Skirmishers, plus their Alien language had to come from somewhere and I don't see any other Aliens speaking the Advent language.
Maybe it's like the clone army from Star Wars but I don't really remember what's their gig except being Buba Fett clones and that some of them have name in Star Wars Rebels (or whatever that Disney show is called).
I knew I was forgetting to add an exception.
