Compatibility with UFOPedia and this mod should be fixed (um, some time ago) for anyone curious

This mod has a strange but easily passable conflict with the Enemy Bestiary mod where instead of showing the title Advent Officer for the entry, it will show the name of the first advent officer you killed, likewise with the trooper. Thought it was funny that instead of killing 2 Advent Officers I killed 2 Amon Batalls

Is there an easy way to add more names? ALSO, this is one of my all time favorite mods, RealityMachina, it feels one way to kill a stranger, but it feels entirely different when you know his name : )

This mod has issues with the advent officer class mod. Specifically with the Disposable Army ability. When you call them it fails to display their health bar correctly. (May not be your mods fault but just letting you know thats whats happening with these 2 mods active.)

Hrm- is there any way to still see the types? I just started WotC first time but I don't know the new types ABA adds.

No, it works, it's just that Additional Icons treats units initially spawned for the mission a bit weirdly and won't show their name. I'm not particularly inclined to go out of my way to try fixing that particular issue.

Doesn't seem to work properly. Only ADVENT that spawn in via reinforcements have names, everything else is default. Tried with and without ABA. Something's broken.

Stoped working for me. Maybe because of the CommunityHiglander Update ?

Is there a way to make this only apply to Chosen and double agents?

Nice, thanks for making this. Adds a nice piece of flair.

Speaking of Star Wars I like how Advent and the Skirmishers are like the Stormtroopers and the Clonetroopers respectively.

The Advent guys are standard Uniformed grunts who mostly lack identity and are sometime bad shots (thinking of normal troopers here) just like the Stormtroopers.

The Skirmisher's are less uniformly with most of them having their own custom armor and have plenty of uniform and over time can become powerful warriors just like the Clone troopers.

@teh1archon For Star Wars the Clone wars (Not the Disney show which is Rebels which the clones in there are from Clone Wars) and just some of the Legends stuff there are a few ways the Clones got their names.

Their just nicknames that they either chose themselves or others start calling them that, the names could just be random that they pick or based on their talents or a notable action for example a Clone named Fives was named so because his unit designation was CT-5555.

Their "birth" names are the aforementioned designation for example CT-5555 is his birth name.

I presume that Advent might go a similar way and it's even possible that most of them don' t choose names until they become Skirmishers, plus their Alien language had to come from somewhere and I don't see any other Aliens speaking the Advent language.

@skarsatai - So this is part of the "grabbing ADVENT" mod? Oh, okay, that makes more sense.
Skarsatai 2.0 7 Oct, 2017 @ 8:38am
@nasong When you kill a Enemy, you pick up his body for loot and... there you are soldiertags... So you can identify the killed advent
Nasarog 7 Oct, 2017 @ 8:20am
How would you know the names of the various ADVENT you kill? Besides maybe a general.
teh1archon 7 Oct, 2017 @ 8:10am
Question is: why Advent have names in the first place? I mean... they're tube babies clones, no? Do they even have personality? I ask all this from a thematic/narative stand point. It also applies to the Skirmishers.

Maybe it's like the clone army from Star Wars but I don't really remember what's their gig except being Buba Fett clones and that some of them have name in Star Wars Rebels (or whatever that Disney show is called).

MOCX has names, yes

...

I knew I was forgetting to add an exception.
teh1archon 7 Oct, 2017 @ 7:26am
Cool idea to humanize Advent. Does this also work for MOCX? I don't remember.
