The method I use to plop difficult train stations and this ferry station is always the same. Not sure if it will work for you, but try this: 1. draw a basic road somewhere 2. plop the station on the road 3. grab the road AND the station with moveit and put them into position 4. bulldoze the station 5. replop the station and never moveit again. Good luck!

Love the asset. Only problem is it seems you can't use MoveIt! to move the road and the pier individually, like how you mentioned in the description. Tried using Network Multitool and Upgrade Untouchables mods, but those only allow my to change the road type, not move it. Am I missing something?

I have no issue in placing it, although it shows in pictures you can place on a quay, I find only the straight up quay work fine. Or place without being on quays. Just need a little manipulation, testing and most of all, patience.

Cant find it. I have subscribed to it but there is no canal ferry stop. And cant find it with "find it" mod.
luke.jams 7. jan. 2021 kl. 21:43
what kinda jerk would downvote a reputed modder, or any modder for that matter? People have complaints even when stuff is handed to them for free.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 12. okt. 2020 kl. 1:39
Read the first paragraph of the description, it says exactly that. I honestly don't know why I'm even responding to you. You called me "lazy" and said I deserve downvotes, which is just offensive.
Horemvore 12. okt. 2020 kl. 1:24
If your unwilling to add them as dependacies for what ever reason at least make a note in your Description about common issues.
Horemvore 12. okt. 2020 kl. 1:21
Canal Ferry Stop that is the name of the asset, yet you yourself have just said if you put it on a canal it will most likely break, which will require a different mod to fix. Dude.....come on.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 12. okt. 2020 kl. 1:09
It works perfectly fine with no mods. Putting a ferry stop on a narrow waterway or canal can often cause issues, for which I'm offering solutions.
Horemvore 12. okt. 2020 kl. 0:41
2 People post 2 different issues with your mod and your solutions to both are, go get this mod, do this with this mod, If I need to have a mod to fix an issue with your mod, that is a Dependancy.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2020 kl. 9:25
It's not a dependency, but thanks for your valuable thoughts on the subject.
Horemvore 11. okt. 2020 kl. 6:39
So the mod has depedancies that are not listed. Either Moveit or Land Ships. Lazy authors get down voted for not adding depedancies.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2020 kl. 23:38
look for a mod called "land ships" by Bloody Penguin. That might help
marcoscarpa.uk 10. aug. 2020 kl. 12:26
Everytime it says: water requested as the line connection is too close to the land and not even in the water :(
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 25. juni 2020 kl. 21:44
it has to be connected to a road. Like with other train stations that can have their internal connections broken by move it, it's best to use this trick: 1. plop asset and road and move it on them both to exactly where you want. 2. connect the road. 3. delete the asset 4. re-plop the asset so it connects to the roads on the initial plop 5. don't move it! :) good luck
gouldy1557 25. juni 2020 kl. 14:55
Won’t place on a canal, if I place somewhere and move it! I can’t get the ferry line to stop because it’s not in the ferry lane. Any ideas how to fix it?
Agent 56289 4. feb. 2020 kl. 11:49
Doesn't seem to work. Can't place it.
Sergih123 1. jan. 2020 kl. 7:42
Looking great! :D
turtles4life84 18. juni 2019 kl. 6:22
Where is the tutorial how to place them correctly?
esther.marye 25. jan. 2019 kl. 0:13
Love it!
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2018 kl. 2:30
Glad you like it. I'm thinking of making more to fit perfectly with Avanya's new quays
Dannypan 16. maj 2018 kl. 0:40
Thank you for making this asset! Canals look so much more realistic with stops that don't fill them up all the way.
saintkhawnan 31. jan. 2018 kl. 22:57
AWESOME! Thanks for all your work in blessing the CS community! Double blessings to you!

Oh, I think he wants the non-vanilla ship in the pictures. Heh, I want one too.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 18. okt. 2017 kl. 6:15
Which ship model? I don't understand your question. This asset is a replacement ferry stop for MT.
Erke 18. okt. 2017 kl. 1:29
I thought I'd be able to select this ship model via service vehicle selector but it seems i can't. Am I doing something wrong?

Phoenix C64 16. okt. 2017 kl. 1:08
where can I find those stairs on the screenshot?
MrMiyagi 16. okt. 2017 kl. 0:04
Awesome!
Turjan 15. okt. 2017 kl. 5:32
Yup, I had been looking for these for ages. The vanilla stops also work on the narrow canals, but even those stops snap to the canal like this one, which means the road has to leave five tiles of space to the canal. That works for warehouses and homes on the canal, but the winding pedestrian paths of the vanilla stops look weird with their wooden walkways on land.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 15. okt. 2017 kl. 4:47
It was one of those things that you search for, don't find, and think, welp, I guess I should just make it. Some small sight-seeing tour boats as ferries coming soon (check my twitter for updates, link on the right)
Turjan 15. okt. 2017 kl. 2:34
Thank you for making these! Finally, the ferry stop conga on canals comes to an end.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 13. okt. 2017 kl. 8:56
@[Delta ²k5] added some new images to show how you can prevent cims from breaking their legs with the help of some procedural objects and a lot of spit and grit
SaintDamien 12. okt. 2017 kl. 14:22
I would just love to create a real Dover feeling, with those kind of passenger ferrys docking backwards. and those access points.
SaintDamien 12. okt. 2017 kl. 14:21
@AmiPolizeiFunk thank you for that idea, will try this out soon.
[Delta ²k5] 11. okt. 2017 kl. 23:01
Nice one - even if the cims gonna break their legs as they jump down to the ferry in your screenshots ;P

You got a thumb up ;)
eighthsin 11. okt. 2017 kl. 21:18
Great job making this - it's one of those 'must have' assets.
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2017 kl. 20:44
i could also consider doing a version of this where the pier extends out in a T shape from the road. I don't think that would be too hard. the bigger double-stop vanilla asset is kinda like that already
AmiPolizeiFunk  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2017 kl. 20:40
you might be able to do something like that with this asset. maybe if you extend a quay perpendicular to the shore and put the stop (and some kind of small road) on the quay. the ferries will go out the way they came in if that is their only pathing option
SaintDamien 11. okt. 2017 kl. 19:48
would it be able to have a ferry stop from the rear/front end ?
So i can make a real ferry port like dover/calais ?
Blujitsu 11. okt. 2017 kl. 18:13
Amazing! Thank you very much for this. The vanilla ferry stops can be more than a bit clunky.
