bro why do you want a Chernobyl city

Can you do anti pollution like the eden park without the added raising of all parks to 100 percent and upgrading all houses to level 5? All i want is some trees or something to remove not just noise pollution but ground pollution.

I get no options to change the pollution distance. And also can't find an INI file for this one. How do I change the pollution?
There is in steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\CSL-IncreasedPollutionRadius.xml
after launch the game atleast once with this mod.
TheKillerChicken 20 apr, 2022 @ 12:42
I would love to see a pollution strength increase mod also.
Daveyboy 8 apr, 2022 @ 11:04
Seems to be a bit *too* powerful. I'm not sure if it supports factors like 1.2 (I couldn't see a UI so I changed the XML file by hand) but my pollution massively increases with that setting (think it might be interpreting 1.2 as 12 as it basically covers my entire city with pollution?)

It's possible that using a whole number like 2 is working properly but I find with that in my current city, it results in the overall level (the % it tells you when you click the pollution data view) goes up from 3% to 7% and as soon as that level it hits 6% the whole city gets sick, even if they're not in a polluted area.

@astrolowchen I love that idea! If BloodyPenguin is too tied up to develop this, maybe shop it around to other modders in the community.

Do you think it would be possible to incorporate the wind and give the pollution an offset and a radius relative to windspeed? So, the faster the wind blows, the larger the pollution radius becomes and there is an offset for the center of a building's pollution centerpoint, which adjust relative to the wind direction and the and how far relative to the wind strength? I think this would add so much flavor to the game, so you could build houses closer to industry on the upwind side and have more space downwind. (try to be fair and have a predominant wind direction, but occasional directional shifts. I'm kind of interested to make the mod myself, but I think you could do it much faster. I'm thinking a $20 donation would be worth it. Maybe $80 since it should take you between 1 and 4 hours to implement (or 30 min!).

china through 2015-2020 be like
The_Mean_Oak 11 maj, 2020 @ 0:53
I would have liked a more 'smooth' pollution radius myself. Where it is not just going from high pollution to no pollution in no space. So although I would like the radius to be 10 or 5 times larger than default, the peak pollution should remain roughly as it is in default. I don't know if that is possible though
The_Mean_Oak 11 maj, 2020 @ 0:45
Note that the CSL-IncreasedPollutionRadius.xml is only being created after you load or start a new game with the increased pollution radius mod enabled in your steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines folder. (I just spend way too long trying to find it)
Lordprimate 17 feb, 2020 @ 3:16
The Settings file is in the SteamLibrary folder you have installed the game in. The file is called CSL-IncreasedPollutionRadius.xml
Kjambo 31 jan, 2020 @ 18:43
I can't seem to find the options menu to change the radius too. I tried to locate the file where the option value for the pollution range multiplication is saved to change it manually, but I can't find it.
jpinard 14 nov, 2019 @ 19:31
I'm not seeing an option menu for it.
CyberFlexie 17 apr, 2019 @ 17:43
It works but no option menu for me either...

飞飞哥计划 23 dec, 2018 @ 17:26
is it possible for you to add industrial air pollution in game? it will make this game more realistic thank you
Failer 14 nov, 2018 @ 11:56
I like the mod, but increased pollution, causes garbage to produce more pollution too. Which causes huge problem. My 13k city has 4k sick people, lol.
pceluvempathy 6 nov, 2018 @ 18:27
There is not an options menu for me either, other than that the mod works. Though it would be nice to change the radius.
OTAKU WARKITTEN 28 okt, 2018 @ 13:23
Are we going to get an update? I can't seem to find the options menu to change the radius.
Droidhacker 18 okt, 2018 @ 22:27
Would it be possible to have a mod that makes minor pollution spread farther but not the full amount of pollution ? It just seems unrealistic in vanilla that you can have houses 50 ft from a huge industrial complex, but also it was unrealistic with this mod that five factories created a massive no go zone around it. I really like the idea behind this mod, maybe the issue I describe is solved by the missing options menu, which I can confirm your mod does not generate
Owlchemist 6 jul, 2018 @ 7:34
+1 on the revisit. The option menu doesn't seem to work anymore (no way to get to it).
BloodyPenguin  [skapare] 26 maj, 2018 @ 3:13
@Joway Option menu not showing up? The game itself is responsible for showing menu.
Joway 25 maj, 2018 @ 8:41
i know its maybe a bit much to ask from a so dedicated modder but would you revisit this mod and fix the option menu not showing up? I really like this mod but the 10x increase is a bit too much for my taste.

Anyways, keep up the good work man :)
Charlie.Decker 5 maj, 2018 @ 17:35
I second that
RizzCarlton 23 dec, 2017 @ 2:23
Thank you for your works! Any chance for a "decreased pollution" version?
BloodyPenguin  [skapare] 18 dec, 2017 @ 12:33
@BloodyPenguin It indeed doesn't show up. I will fix it when I have time
BloodyPenguin  [skapare] 18 dec, 2017 @ 12:17
@Pslytely Psycho Hmm, I gonna check
@Mark Ruins Everything No, it doesn't
Pwner’s Manual 18 dec, 2017 @ 12:10
Does not affect noise or water, correct?
Eldrarak1982 12 dec, 2017 @ 13:40
For those wondering, to reduce pollution radius, edit the file at "\\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\CSL-IncreasedPollutionRadius.xml" and change the value of the factor key ("<factor>10</factor>").
Eldrarak1982 21 nov, 2017 @ 9:14
Okay, an update. This mod is terrific! It does however, make the game EXTREMELY hard, as even a few factories anywhere near your citizens will cause massive health issue. And yeah, I suppose I could "change the radius" in options, but you know what? I like it this way! This gives a whole new element of gameplay to my city planning, and has already resulted in some very creative buildouts just to avoid the smog. Love it.
Eldrarak1982 17 nov, 2017 @ 15:18
Yes! Great idea! Will be using immediately...
Pslytely Psycho 15 nov, 2017 @ 22:12
BP, I love this mod, but I am not seeing an options button anywhere. (neither in options mode pre game or in game )I wold like to ruduce a bit to see where it becomes most playable.
Ranazomic 12 nov, 2017 @ 7:09
no option for me i can only enable/disable the mod
Fujiwara no Larz 26 okt, 2017 @ 21:05
Oh yeah...! Thnk's, now this will be more challenging and fun :highlvl:
[Origin] - ICE 25 okt, 2017 @ 14:30
thanks for the mod
Pslytely Psycho 25 okt, 2017 @ 5:14
Boody Penguin, When I see that moniker I always give it a go. About ninety percent survive a playthrough, the very few that didn't only got removed because they didn't add anything I personally do or use, never once because they were glitchy or poorly implemented.Thank you man!
BP = instant download.
tchukki 23 okt, 2017 @ 14:34
I don't find how to adjust the pollution radius :?. in my mod menu there is no "option" and i don't know if i can do this manualy (outside the game). i would like to set my multiplier to something like 3
nckinne 22 okt, 2017 @ 12:19
BloodyPenguin, you are THE BEST modmaker for this game. Everytime I get bored of playing with the same old mods, I turn to you and I hope that I can be as amazing as a modmaker for this game as you.
Slick Gamble 21 okt, 2017 @ 21:14
Hell yeah, let's declare war on perfect cities.
sniggledigit 21 okt, 2017 @ 18:36
@aubergine18: Yeah you would think that if they were to do ANYTHING in Cities Skylines: Green Cities it would make trees...um...help the environment...like clean the air and block noise pollution and stuff...but instead they just die...or spontaneously combust, setting your city ablaze. Ironic. To be fair, roads with trees generally have lower noise pollution settings but that is a setting of the road. Has nothing to do with the trees on it.
notDONEyet 21 okt, 2017 @ 17:00
HELL YEAH!
leftbehind 21 okt, 2017 @ 16:12
It would be nice if tree-decorated roads still soaked up some noise, at the expense of increased road maintenance costs.
