So I un pbo'd it etc. but when I go into the editor and try to open it it doesn't show up, what might I be doing wrong?

You can save it as a custom composition in the editor then open a new map and drag and drop

It most certainly does, provided the map is supported by ALiVE.

Yep! I recommend just renaming the unzipped mission folder to .island . Instead of island put the name of your prefered island and open it that way.
