@=L33T 720= It is not compatible with version 3.14. It does not work because the code representing the Fallen Empire and other codes were added to vanilla.

@Ghost Haven't had time to diff the script yet. Unless the patch has something to do with awakened empires, I think it's probably unlikely that they changed anything in the file.

This changes the awakening event, so forcing that event is fine. It doesn't necessarily have to fire naturally.

I see that the relevant event script was last updated in the 3.1 patch, but I honestly can't see what was even changed. If anyone wants to update this themselves, lines 108-168 from this mod can be copied into the current events/fallen_empire_awakening_events.txt file, and then all of that copied back over and saved. That will update this mod to the current game version (again, the file hasn't changed for 3.2) even though I really don't know what Paradox even changed.

Oh, and of course update descriptor.mod to reflect the new version, but that's just for the game launcher. It doesn't actually affect anything in-game.

Sure, feel free. The pastebin link still works and shows that all the mod does is change the random_list to an if else.

I recommend changing the last 40 to a 0 instead. Much easier and IMO better design-wise.

Would you mind if I tried working on an update for this to 3.x, or at least a mod that does a similar thing? It seems like people are asking for although it may still work so it might not be necessary. But if it's having errors and people want an update I'd be willing to work on one with your permission :)

I don't have an opportunity to update the mod in the coming weeks. If it's any consolation, all I've ever done since I first created the mod was update the version number. Are there any errors when you start the game with it, or does it just show up as "outdated, use at your own risk"? If it's the latter, chances are that it still works.

@asdf Thanks, didn't notice there was a patch. Since the developers don't seem to change the War in Heaven script, this mod should always work, even if it shows as outdated.

@Nikal Thank you for bringing this up! Since the 2.2 update, there seems to be a problem with partial overwriting of original event files. For now, I've worked around it by completely replacing the vanilla file, which should resolve the error.

@Chaos The "Leviathans Storypack" is the only DLC needed for this, so you can play without owning Utopia.

@Lord_Daemonar: This mod prioritizes opposing FEs. Only if those aren't available, it sets up random FEs for the war. It does this by replacing the original random_list of outcomes with a fixed sequence of checks.

Your preferred version would be much easier to implement, since it leaves the random_list intact and simply removes the "nothing happens"-option. I'll do that right now. What nontrivial random percentage did you have in mind?

I don't think I understand what your mod does.
I definitely want a War in Heaven in every game with two opposing FEs, but I also want a nontrivial random chance that not-opposing FEs will have the War. Does this mod do that? If not, how could that be modded?

@rainy67: Absolutely. Unless a patch changes something specifically about the awakening priority, I won't have to update the mod at all. If it shows up as outdated though, please mention it. That's a quick fix.
