the trap door isnt where it says in the desc, the real location is here; upon entering the ILINALTA'S DELUGE proceed forward. go through the first room to the second room, the second room is a long hallway. at the other end of the hallway the trapdoor is to the right of the doorway. (idk if its bad english/bad translation that ended in that misinformation but here ya go.)

@EA« GrimSwizzel The blade never increses on damage it already has really high damage. The real power is in the enchantment.

Thank you so much for this, although it didn't increase in damage when I fully upgraded it, I really appreciate it, I spent alot of time looking for a mod for this, and then I saw this, the first one I downloaded was OP, so I kept looking xD Much love, Grim :P

According to TES5Edit, this mod contains 5 ITM records and a deleted master record. In addition, it says there are 11 deleted navmeshes. These will just cause mod conflicts, and/or crashes. You may want to do something to fix this.

It works for me and everyone else so maybe have a look at the loading order if you have any mods that edit smithing this mod must go after this.

Do you have the mod activated? The trap doors should be just before the last encounder room. just around the corner. So Like when you get to the place where you found the Azuras star go down the stars and and as you leave that room there is only one way hall and at the end of that just on your left hand site on the ground in the corner. Let me know how you did. D13

Compare the blades later in the game when your attack will be stronger. Also once the blade is unlocked it will grant you absorb life 30-50. That is a VERY strong veapon

Great mod, fixes the blade to be a two handed weapon and actually pay attention to the two handed tree - and ads the nice little dungeon where you can upgrade it without accumulating a bounty. Well done, I just tested it, works flawlessly. Maybe a few more attributes added to the small dungeon the "failed experiments" are in. The back wall looks very plain, maybe a desk or some book shelves. Otherwise great.

Seewhy, you're looking at the base damage based on the weapon skill. The extra added damage is the absorb health spell which you can't necessarily see. Look at some strat guides - at full power the absorb health spell on the blade drains something like 30 hp, it only starts at 15.

Ok, an Ebony Blade with 24 Damage isnt great. So I added this mod and went to to Ilanatla's Deep. Found the 'Failed Experiments' area and proceeded to kill !!! After every 2, I got 'The Voice', assumed it was all good. Sadly I was wrong. After killing every one there, my Ebony Blade now does 25 damage....a WHOLE EXTRA ONE POINT!!!! Surely thats not right?

Ok well how about Ansilvund Excavation it's got tons of Necros in it plus a Misc Quest to kill a really powerful Necro and get the Ghostblade. Would be Lore-Friendly and requires nothing to "Unlock" the instance. At any point the Dragonborn can freely go there. :D Like I said trying to help :D

:) I am still looking for a good place to put it, but I also want to put it somwhere where it teoreticaly may really show up, in kind of lore firendly enviroment. ;)

oh if you were serious about moving it how about that first mine by riverwood... it's short has just iron ore and as far as I know has no quests associated with it :)

It looks like the key is not working anymore but the chamber is still there, so just open console anf type in unlock enter.

There is really an immense amount of locations you could move it to, as far as role playing goes I would say you put it in the best spot (trying to clone humans for more souls for azura's star). I would put it in the deep instead of the deluge though, so azura's star quest is not required. Either way it is fine.

No problem. Once I figured it out I ran to azura, pretended to be interested, found the trap door, and it worked perfectly. (just waited 1 hour between each kill)

Might want to let people know that to get to the failed experiment room you have to be able to get to the deluge, which is only accessible if you did or are doing Azura's Star quest, took me an hour to figure it out as I really don't care about Azura with an unlimited enchanted weapon.

First of all I LOVE THIS MOD! But its noteworthy to point out that the male failed experiment had loot but the female ones did not.
@Toy Crusher this mod keeps the lore of the blade alowing you to incress the power of teh effect of the blade, it does not change teh fact that the blade is not able to changed by mortal hands(if you read the book they where not able to melt it down)

Something is not right, I got the sword ealier and after I did the quest to "upgrade" it. I downloaded this mod to upgrade it further, how ever I cant sharpen the blade even with this mod. Can someone please help.

Nice mod! Awsome that you made it slightly better than ebony greatsword and upgradeable. Do yuo think that you could make a one-handed version of the ebony blade with a smaller model and stats matching a one-handed sword?, That would be awsome!! Keep up the good work!!

"Inside there are 10 actor copies with no purpose or AI. Kill them using your Ebony blade and you should get the real Ebony blade after.

You will know that the ebony blade is upgrading because every two kills the Daedra lord will talk to you. The NPC are lock in cells because if you kill them too quickly it is possible that two kills will count as one so take time. Make sure that once the NPC is dead the animated effect of taking life will be gone." this isn't working the daedra lord isnt speaking to me and the blade isnt getting a stronger life drain.

Thank you, I wasn't aware that there was such an issue. Everything fixed, to be slightly better than a Ebony Greatsword. Kudos to you sir :)

hey man this mod would be awesome for me but there's just one more thing it needs to do... The origional ebony blade is affected by the 1handed damage modifier perk instead of the 2handed i was wondering if you would be willing to make a version that changed this to be affected by the barbarian perk, Keep up the good work (i had a mod that did this but it didnt increase the base damage so ebony greatsword was better later in the game and i really like the look of this sword) thanks, and Keep up the good work.

PS: to all the ppl complaining about the good fix if you don't like it you can still kill ppl as origionally intended (I intend to do this as I find it more immersive for the character I am creating)

where is "llanatla's deep"? why not just put it the trap door in dragonsreach?
