It can be scaled down in Asset Editor to the 0.5 of its orginal size. It takes less then minute. In the top right corner of the screen you have menu with few options. Change min and max scale to the value 0.5 and save. That is whole job.

A 2048x2048 texture is way too big for a prop this size. That texture size is really only intended to be used for large unique buildings. 1024x1024, 1024x512 or 512x512 is enough for something this size.
