Why does the district sometimes have only 2 or 3 buildings and it never goes up and it sometimes is full of buildings

I'm not making any additional changes to this *checks dates* 7 year old mod. Oh lord, that can't be right. I do not like that one bit.

Anyway, feel free to make changes to the mod to increase the housing or add modifiers for it to increase housing when next to a neighborhood. I won't be updating it so the code will be stable lol.

how about more house when next to each other and neighborhood. currently playing a tall and wide play but ran out of housing options

No way to make it count as a City Center for other districts without severely messing things up internally or getting into custom scripting that I'm not proficient in. The only option is a boolean check of City Center. Setting it to true and making it buildable is gamebreaking and outside the scope of the mod. And my brain.

I didn’t though of that ! As always, I haven't really thought about the development side of the thing. ^^ Anyway, I was thinking out loud, I personally prefer it to be unrestricted ! Thanks for your answer, and your mods ! =)

Base game, only the Aqueduct can be restricted to be adjacent to the City Center. I don't have the skills to do any fancy scripting or custom assets to create a workaround so this is my best implementation. It's also really old at this point and mostly for eye candy lol

It’s true that it’s sad for the soft limitation around the city center, I suppose it’s because of how the game handle cities, like why « city sprawling » act in a similar ways ?

Maybe could the district be technically restricted to the city center. Though, I suppose it’s better to let the user have that liberty.

Anyway, still a premium mod nonetheless ! I can't plan my cities without taking this district into account now ! lol It looks so great !

The mod needs to be edited. If you build it away from the city center, it doesn't show up but the stats still work.

Yes it still works, it has to be placed adjacent to the city center for it to show up. I've seen the AI build them away from the city center and it still works, though there are no graphics for it.

JNR is a master modder. I must have half of his mods favorited for use as well. I did what I could with the skills I had but I am glad you got enjoyment out of it nonetheless. <3

No Aorusx3, read the Description. It's meant to be built next to the City-Center for it to appear.

Anyway, thanks for the ride, I used this mod a lot, and for a long time, but I fell in love with JNRs Buroughs Disctricts system.

Yeah, you can change the ArtDef file for any of the districts to look like whatever you want it to.

That doesn't sound possible considering it doesn't touch textures/models of units or terrain.

This mod when enabled causes textures/models of units and terrain features to stretch across the screen. Tested repeatedly with a variety of other mods enabled/disabled as I was hunting down the source of the glitch with 4-Leaf Clover Kupe sending units into the water immediately.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\1198778710\Gameplay

Go to the districts file (open in notes or something else if you would like)
10th line down go over to "TECH_INDUSTRIALIZATION' and change it to "TECH_WRITING" or your preferred tech.

I tried that when I first developed the mod but the placement is really restrictive with that. I can look into it again but I don't have time to update this anymore unfortunately.

Hey, Wouldn't It be possible to treat this district like an aqueduct to force the city center adjacentcy, I believe the city lights mod does such thing to stop the ArtDef bug and It plays out quite well In game.

Wherever your Steam Workshop files download to. I believe the normal install path is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content

Open the Civ 6 folder (I don't recall which number it is) and find the mod which number should be 1198778710.

You only need a text editor but Notepad++ works best for that, in my opinion.

Edit the .sql file and change the beginning era for the district to whatever you want it to be.

The notice states that it does not appear in tiles that are *not* next to the City Center. Only adjacent placement works.
