I dont mind giving AI bit more moeny, but in the late game, every army is gold 3 tier, almost max level lords, and most annoyingly, max level agents.
The lord thing would be ok but heros sometimes really break auto resolve battles when on such high levels making AI faction which use heros in armies really broken unless you want to manual fight everything.
Not to mention that my 3rd campaign in a row where the empire gets deleted by turn 60 by hords which integrate heros into armies more often.
This mod is played by hardcore players who do not like the casual gameplay, similar to a walk in the children's world. Это не для тебя делали и не для таких как ты. Иди играй в свою песочницу и не мешай взрослым.
That you set solo generals to bait AI into ambush ?
Or is it that your general way of play is double army stack snowball ?
You want a difficult game, get your self -20 happiness and cut growth by a half
this will make your make billions time more "difficult" than any upkeep and economy changes or even AI bonuses to combat. You will just sit in your starting region for 50 turn, how very fun and difficult.
Game set to Very Hard.
With only SFO and hardmode disabled.

That seems a little higher than the 5 to 25% shown above. So I'm running with hardmode and easymode together so its still hard, but not insane atm. Kinda funny I guess to run them both but works for now.

With just SFO its 2 slot, More armies on it own i thought would be 3. Its still 2.
SFO with just easymode also is 2 loaded to 2.
Some reason this hard mode if you have 1, goto main menu, load its now 0.

Was driving me nuts.
I have ONLY sfo and this mod enabled.
Reproduce - Start campaign, Shows 1 recruit available. Save Game: SaveA1
Exit to main menu, start new same campaign. Load SaveA1 previous campaign you just saved and it will now show NO recruitment slots available even though it just showed 1 before you saved SaveA1.
After disabling all the mods and testing to figure out what was causing it. I found it was this.
Disabled this hardmode I have 2 slots available, save, start new, load, still shows 2. Which is good.
Enabled with this, I have 1 slot available. Save. Start new, Load, now shows 0. And you won't get 1 until next turn. If you then save, and try to load the game that just shows 1 it will now be 0.
Doesn't happen with other races, just tomb kings.
I am afraid the AI get dobbelt buffed :P
Upkeep lowered from -10% to -55% from easy to legendary difficulty.
- New recruits chevron from +1 to +5 from easy to legendary difficulty.
- New lords level from +3 to +15 from easy to legendary difficulty.

So i'll just trust your judgement that you believe the game is harder with the cap bonus enabled, correct?
I have a question i'd be happy if you could clarify. If one's using the hard mode. Would enabling the ingame unit caps not weaken the AI a lot more than the player? Since the upkeep is so much lowered for the AI wouldnt it have far more elite armies than the player? I ask because i do not know wheather SFO increases the amount of armies an AI player can have. Because if its still limited then you'd come to the point where the AI has, lets say 4 armies with mostly mid tier units due to unit caps even though it could afford 4 armies with dragons.

I understand that you think it feels unnatural, that the AI averland for example ignores the vampires on it's east attacking and sends its last stack against the empire (player). However, one might argue that the crowd interested in this kind of submod, is not likely the one complaining about such behavior, but rather about the fact that both averland and the vampires are preoccupied with eachother, weakening themselves and thus making the game a lot easier.

I combine this mod with SFO: Grimhammer II: Easy Mode SUBMOD и SFO: Grimhammer II: More Armies SUBMOD in the end, As a result I get reduced upkeep Player and increased recruitment cost, and the AI gets all booster from Hard mod
Having an AI improvement mod for SFO would be amazing. Similar to what CeltiK did, but he has retired from modding TWWH now (and his mod is incompatible with SFO).
I know you're busy now working on the update of SFO main mod.
But tell me please, do you have any plans to make a mod similar Better AI 2 EXTRA HARD Difficulty from Minos?
I would like to see change applied only to the AI
Because the increase for the upkeep of armies leads to problems with the economy that worsen the gameplay
