Breezehome has a dear lil chicken coop next to it and she chats back at me but for some reason I always get challenged there and he kills my chicken i mean of all the nasty cheap things to do just cos she runs at him [strange behaviour for a chicken really] and everywhere i go it's so cool to occasionally find eggs but I notice that if you are not right there they tend to go through the ground or roll under something so you cannot get them now this could be a clever chicken saving her babies but I'm pretty sure it's the way Bethesda put the game together i just wanted to mention it in case someone else was seeing this [or if it's just me]

AWESOME! YES! THANK YOU FOR THIS MOD!!! (sorry for all of the yelling) I've always wished that Bethesda had created something like this. I use a lot od chicken eggs (for cooking and potions) and originally I had to either buy, steal, or use codes for eggs. 'Cause out of most of the other "farmable" things in the game, chicken eggs raely if never respawned for me (though, my mind would play ticks on me). But, with this mod I now know that when I come across a chicken's nest and "harvest it", another egg with respawn in the same nest with time! Thank you again for this mod! Jayberry Pie for everyone!

True, but I mean't I've been looking at ALL mods for the game in that order. Not just yours..but your chicken fix was one of the oldest mods so here we are.

@ logan: doubt so, some had their first releases pretty long ago. but the "view all shared files" button gets you there (and the list above is linked)

I'm looking at them from most recent, oldest to newest. I'm on page 785 or something. I'll get to it eventually I imagine.

still, it's like this: i can just set a display time. during this, no other notifications can be displayed, (it's not like it just gets displayed until stg else wants to). and my update notifications aren't really THAT important, other than various kinds of game relevant stuff that also wants to display there but maybe couldn't. it'd just be very bad policy :-)

Yea but it shows right at the start of loading a save, so it's not like your going to be in the middle of something. Right?

rather not, all kinds of stuff try to display their notifications there, so i wouldn't want to block it for too long (worst case even can prevent others from getting displayed at all if there's too many at a time trying)

Oh I see. Might I suggest a much longer display of this update info? It went off screen in seconds and when you don't know it's coming, it's easy to miss.

@ logan: just a couple of script updates (tweaks mostly), nothing changed about the visible or functional parts (the notification comes for any update, not just important ones ,-)

I see something changed today? I found myself unsubscribed to this mod this morning, but I removed and reinstalled and it worked. I then saw a very brief in-game message about an update.
What was changed?

(better wait until DK is 1.0 though, hope to finally have it out in about a week)

...ah yes and about the bonding with your family etc, the mod actually does make the chicken do a couple things, like come greet you when you've been away etc, so that bit at least's not just in your head... ;-)

game just isn't the same without this for me. i don't really care about the animals making noise, that's just a plus. but my pet chicken outside of breezehome has bonded with my family (i like to think) and i go and feed it and spend time with it. without this mod, that part of the house is just an empty hole where my chicken used to be...

the Donkey King pet chicken are actually dialogue controlled, but that mod's still beta with a couple remaining issues - performance mostly - in the quest (none i know of with the pets though), working on 1.0, out soon...
