mmm about normals.. In vtf edit there is an option to set the alpha channel in white color or use the default alpha channel from the texture.. what should i use?

@ Nishi: You need to make the texture so that the everything you want to be fully reflective is white and everything that is not supposed to reflect is black.

@ Nishi: You'll need to make greyscale texture that you'll add into the alpha channel (look the image in the link I sent earlier. Sort of like that). Otherwise the model will look like it's plastic or porcelain.

@ Nishi: Yes. It just means that the alpha channel is fully opaque. Or in phong's case, it has the full effect.

@ Nishi: The phong and envmap values are pretty much dependant on the phong and envmap mask. I use HLMV when i'm fine tuning the textures and vmt (much easier/faster than running the game for testing and restarting it for changes).

@Tööttieläin I hope you can help me. I noticed that your models have a perfect values for phongs and env_cubemaps and those work perfectly in each campaign. How do u that? -I mean, How can you know which values use for each phong and envmaps in your models? Do u use a tool?

@ supremewormy: Yes and no. The model is totally new, but I updated my other APS mods to have it too. I haven't actually made APS replacer for Uzi before. I guess it's more of a late completion of full set :D

In this case the problem isn't really the texture size (well, if compared to my earlier work :D), but the fact there are so many of them. The gun, stock, flashlight and ammo all have separate material and textures. In comparison, the magnum version of the same gun is only 44.645 MB by simply dropping flashlight and stock.

Btw, I fixed the slide issue you reported 11 months ago :D
