It also looks like Pokemon from Black and White or another ancient ship you could get from a forerunner space dock in Stellaris

The lore reminds me of one of the anomalies you can get in the game Stellaris where you scientists and their ship gets sucked into an anomaly only to return in some ultra-dimensional races ship.

If you added arms to this it's basically a mech, but you made it work as a ship.
