Seems to be especially some of the official ones that do that, so it could be. Try it in singleplayer or go on a best available dedi and see if it works?

If you are testing this online, there are some servers that disable mods, so you won't hear it then. Make sure to test it on a few different servers, on the majority of them it will work.
