I'm getting the "no room" error for forestry and it's enclosed with walls and doors.

Yeah unfortunatly the woodsaw seems completly usuable currently :/
Neither workamn nor prisoners use them

I have a fix for the no equipment required:

Go to your

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\mods\1905930740\data

and open "reform_programs.txt" in notepad.



Remove the following lines: (Note the line before you delete as the line number will change)

10: Equipment None

28: Equipment None




This will allow the mod to function as normal, if you are using the Recycling mod as well, this will fix that too, same with the Manufactury 4.0 mod. (check those workshops comments for fixes)


I have also uploaded the text file here: {LINK REMOVED}

You can copy and paste this into your current reform_programs.txt, or just download and overwrite the current one.

Right. Shame it doesnt work well for suppressed prisoners, like farm does... idk why prisoners still flock to farmwork when suppressed

They need the reform to get the qualification for the production rules / scripted jobs in the forestry.

@murgh - SInce they added "Forestry Labor" to the game, your mod disables it. You need to add to the "Forestry" Room - "prisoners can work" property and "prison labor" as research and this solve the issue.

- Prisoner Forestry no longer requires to be enclosed
- The trees now have buttons to specify type and how long they will grow

@murgh - Hey I have a problem if the prisoner forestry is srounded with fence on one side but water on the other side I get an enclosed fail error. Can you fix this?

Yes it seem long to wait for a tree, but when you have few green area as forestry, it make a good decoration and keep prisoneers busy enougth.

With slow delivery and a mod that disable teleportation your staff need to unload the truck and transport things to the storage or where the item is needed, or send sellable items to the export area. It can be problematic if you consume and produce more than the import / export rate available (for a big prison).

Adding a button to set growing time shouldn't be impossible. Currently too busy with coding Limo Garage 2.0 though, so it will take some time before I get to updating this mod. Guess you won't mind that things go slow :)
How can standard trees grow too fast for you? Their timer is at 7200 minutes for a full grown tree.

This is exactly why it is sad for me. I like to manage a big forestry, I also use the game option for slow down clock and delivery (and a mod wich disable item teleportation).
I think the vanilla trees grow already fast for me.

I knew some people will prefer fast and small as posible.
An option somewere for tweaking the speed change (or a toggle switch) could be added, maybe ?

The forestry trees grow fast for a good reason, so you don't need many which take up a lot of space in you prison. Now you can run a wood supply on a small map and still keep people busy all the time.

Hi. So sad you make the trees growing speed fast for prisoner forestry.
It could be cool if the prisonner forestry only prevent workers to chop trees, without changing the tree mechanics.

There are updated rotatable storage racks in my combipack mod, but the saw can't be rotated.

Micro update:
- changed sprites.png to prevent some default markers from messing up when this mod is the only one used.
- added Log to the Prisoner Forestry workgroup so prisoners will also stack fresh log there, and prisoners working at the WoodWorkshop will now fetch log as well (besides prisoners from the normal workshop).
- added tooltip for the Forestry Tree in the menu.

- added Wood Workshop, Prisoner Forestry, Wood Saw and Wood Storage Rack.

My prisoner forestry mod got merged into this one, so if you were using that, then you can remove it. Prisoner Forestry is no longer available as single mod.
