hi, don't know if you're still modding, or maybe someone else can help me - what crops grow at all in harsh hot climate? or do all of them stop at 90°? Are there modded crops (not CC charter) that can grow in this climate?

I've tried a few terrain mods but this is one is by far my favorite. However, there is a step each user must take to ensure the game will not crash upon exiting to the main menu.

When you first enable the mod, and the game asks if you want to apply changes and reload; you want to click yes, but then fully exit the game after the mod has been loaded. When you open the game again in the future, the game will not crash when attempting to exit to the main menu.

Love the mod and all but there is a pretty big issue when you pick the lake maps. if the lake is too big there will be a void texture instead of water. Out of 25 random seeds i got only 2 that didnt have missing water textures. Other then that its well made and i had zero crashes

Loads okay but when I quit it crashes the whole game. Is it due an update? It looks fabulous but I can't play it :(

P.S. I really liked the size of the map "[CC] Extra Large" from Colonial Charter, but I really hope that I can get it with your mod without CC 1.76. The mod CC is just great, but since I'm new player in Banished, would like to understand the mechanics of the game yet without unnecessary bells and whistles like additional materials, etc. Though and will definitely return to mod CC later.

Too bad you couldn't change the tree textures to fit each map. Like desert would be cactus and other such desert trees.

Ahh shame :(, because i've red somewhere that they do allow translation mods (obviously) so maybe they'd pass on the maps aswell.

@jakob, on the Harsh climates added yes. In thesse climates it is about micro-managing when to harvest, or when to only rely on hunting and fishing, trading etc.

@novgorod2000, does it still happen if you:

Load up game,
enable mod in mod list,
Exit game.
Restart game.
Load new map.
?

when loading new mods, you should always enable in the mod list, then exit the game completely - this is a small glitch with the game itself that had been know about for quite sometime.

@discrepancy im using this and small village mod, but i disables small village mod to see the cause, i will test it a bit more later and post some screen shots, will be back with them in about 6hours

for now if it helps after it crashes there is the Failed to start game (app already running) isue

@Rei'No Otoko, only the harsh climate choices will effect the food and herb production, as some foods will not grow in extreme highs/lows.
Other than that this mod only make visual changes - so the ground, mountain and snow textures. And also the new generated styles of maps.

An island map is near impossible, the outer edge of the map will always be mountains, that is hardcoded into the game and I cannot change.
I can though try to make a large lake map that might occasionaly generate an island in the middle.

In terms of new trees, yes they will come soon. The trees themselves are called up from a different part of the map selection- the Start scenarios so that is why I have not included them with this + I also have to finish them :)

Is it impossible for banished's map generator to make an island map? You know, mountains in the middle, flat beaches, a few small rivers and the edges of map being water? It's a shame that every map has to have land on the edges and rivers beginning and ending on the edge of map..

Will these effect food and herb production. I do hope but would it then interfer with CC mod I was using the cold realism mod and with the last update to CC Journey 1.75 I had to remove it as food became impossible to get.. even with everyone basically on it and you can't survive like that..

Nice idea but i dont think the red and sand desert blend in with the fauna quite well... though nice work, especially on the climates!
I have a suggestion, is it possible to create a map where a huge lake collides with the outer border (or even better where it is part of it) so it looks like the town is located at the shore of the sea? (especially with your cold climate template it would be perfect for a viking-ish settlement, if only there was a suitable building mod, maybe even with matching ships...)

When playing on the Plain Woods, you can not build a mine to get some iron, except on the map borders. Would be nice to maybe add some mountains?
