That stuff looks so dirty

Hello! so i saw that it has the black checkers but i'm very scared to download the GMPU so i think it might make something with my steam account.

dose it change the npc verson of the gunship

Well it's not LifeMod. RIP.

Checkers are only appearing on certain objects. Crates, cones, bottle and milk carts ect. I have LifeMod installed but I don't think that's the source of the problem. I'll uninstall just to be sure.

Yeah, I followed the instructions to the letter, besides not using GMPU which makes no difference. It didn't work, unfortunately.

I don't think the "fix" makes a difference anyway. Either I'm misunderstanding the directions or they aren't clear. I unpacked both addons with GAC, but that shouldn't make a difference, they extract the files all the same. I made a new folder in the addons folder called "HD Models" and then put the "Materials" folder of both addons into the "HD Models" folder. I overrid, and loaded up a map. Still having checkers. I uninstalled these addons and loaded up a map. Still having checkers. Tried doing mat_reloadallmaterials and mat_reloadtextures and still, having checkers.

why is the props/vehicles dirty?

It seems to have an error whenever i try to unpack it. I might be doing it wrong but i have no idea what to change in my process. I read through earlier comments and saw you talk about a bigger addon that would have to be downloaded from an external source. Has that been done because this tool is frustrating me and the textures look really good.

Weird. I can share another pack, this time all merged together, but i still have no idea if i can upload it to workshop, and if someone will be patient (or have enough disk space) enough to download 900 MB of addon.

So even after following the instructions carefully for both packs, it seems I'm still getting black checkers on models.

@Windows XP should be something like "hd_models1_483848392.gma" you can also use search in the addons folder

Unpack BOTH addons, make a new folder in: ".../steamapps/common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/addons" and move all the content of unpacked addons there with eventual override. Should help

Unpack the addon, make a new folder in gmod addons folder, and move the materials folders there, and try to delete this addon. At least, that's how i understand the solution posted by someone
