Happy to help as this one's easy, if a bit unfortunate since it's not the answer you'll want.
That's all edited in in post. So offscreen I just took a screenshot of the game during a convo window being up > blacked out the text box and face box in photoshop > trimmed the new PS comp to be ONLY the textbox & facebox (and borders, naturally) > used google to find a similar font to the game's text > wrote in what I wanted it to say > slapped on whoever needed to be in the facebox > (optionally) popped a stock FX of TV static over it if it didn't have already. Throw a radiofilter (there's 100 guides out there on the exact FX all the voicepacks use) and boom. Just fade it in for a moment as it comes in, fade it out when done. Long as it's not layered over any existent menu buttons, looks completely like it's meant to be there.
Usually it's me doing the voice overs unless it's a distinct character like Bradford, Shen, Tygan.
Highlander comes first, always.
I'd put ABA and co. after them because then the AI tweaks should domino into everything else
Asset mods go before main mods (see resistance firearms for example)
Mostly though there isn't a load order, game's pretty good at figuring stuff out. Just make sure Highlander is at the bottom and no 'cart' mods are going before 'horse' mods.
I've done all kinds of things all kinds of ways and I have no idea what sticks anymore.
Careful with config clearing though because if you do that DO NOT OPEN YOUR CHARACTER POOL UNLESS YOU'VE ALREADY OPENED THE GAME A FEW TIMES AND CHECKED ALL THE MODS STILL WORK.
Otherwise the pool will rebuild everyone with vanilla parts ONLY and autosave destroying your old pool's customisations forever
Usual FPS for me is around 50 modded fluctuating 40-60 when recording, 120 or so unmodded
To quote the description "YOU ARE GOING TO WANT TO USE THE COMMUNITY MOD LOADER FOR THIS, JUST FOR MANAGEMENT'S SAKE" - by that I mean the community mod loader on the xcom2 mods reddit
I do not know
Try the community mod launcher and put the highlander at the bottom. That is the extent of my modding knowledge tho from a code basis. I haven't updated from 1.3 for fear of breaking a the holy jenga tower
Best of luck pal.
At this point, I truly don't know. I'm terrified of updating anything - frantically saving my data in case of any crash or mess-up. I haven't updated Mod Launcher since 1.3 because I daren't throw out any tiny screw from the machine. It's a miracle it even runs anymore and someday I absolutely plan to stream the thing just booting the F up to prove it does lol
how did you do it man? clearly you did but I cant even play the the game with long war 2 on
I'd never reccommend using this and Part 2 all at once, this is mostly here to track what's up, and cos people wouldn't stop asking lol
At least it functions at my end*
Yup, I legit have no clue what's causing that. So go forth in the knowledge that I have not knowing installed anything that does that. My deepest apologies but that's as far as I can help.
This is an example of what I mean.
Honestly, I don't ever recall doing anything to them. Maybe it was part of the cosmetic TLE / TLE unlock mods in part 2? Otherwise I'm stumped
