If an npc is standing directly behind a wall, And Keep Corpses is NOT checked, and you hit them with a bolt, They MIGHT just stick to the wall.

American_Eagle,the crossbow in half-life 2 isn't a real crossbow!It's a rebel weapon made of junk that acts just like a real crossbow!So,thats why the bolt don't look like a real one!Check the Wikie!
