Fantastic rendition, very well done. Id love to see militia in CSGO again. Seeing as how this is much more balanced and competitively viable, I hope something like this comes along officially. This will do for now!

Hi, I sent you a friend request. I'm a mapmaker who has questions as to how you ported this map over. I really want to redo Militia myself, but have had no luck decompiling or porting it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the comments - I worked on this when I got csgo and used it to refresh my memory when it came to using the editor. Militia was officially ported shortly after. I'm now spending time on mods for Kerbal Space Program but I might make a full csgo map eventually. Hopefully this got some use; if you have any gameplay vids of militia mountain feel free to share them here.

I guess I have bad luck then.
I download through workshop (subscribe), then start CSGO, and as soon as game starts I get a crash. When I unsubscribe, everything is fine, game starts, no crashes. I can't even load the map through console. I'm on XP PRO SP3.

you are the first person to mention it crashing the game. Since I have tested it a ton and others seem to be playing it on their own fine, I don't think it's broken. How are you trying to start it?

Broken map - It always crashes my CSGO. Other workshop maps don't do it.

The bots seem to be able to target me a little too well through the boarded-windows. I'm always over pre-firing at those windows (with bots in the game) because they'll usually see me first before I can see them at all, even with there being actual visability through those cracks it seems like they can see through those cracks no matter how distant they are from the boarded-window. Also some bots seem to have trouble navigating things; in the handful of matches I played within some rounds I had to go back to find hosties stuck on varying terrain. Otherwise I think this is pretty fun, nice job with this one.

Oh, that would explain why the other one looks much smoother then. Good job so far on this one but it still looks rough in a lot of places, mostly the terrain/rocks

This version is a little rough around the edges. The other militia port on Workshop looks nicer all around.

The borders of the map were barely changed from the original. I will tweak the part with the hay and look at the windows. The river shadow is fixed in the next version. I would like to see how the building that replaces the silos plays out with people; if it needs more cover than is in front of the building it can change.

Oh I have to take that back, you can see trough the 2 "new" windows, but you cannot shoot trough them. Wow. did you even test your map ?

Also the sewers now look weird, at the end part at terror side, it more looks like a cellar because they just end with a concrete wall. Oveall, it just looks empty, and not suitable for the computers we have noadays. By the way, a DELL computer right on the same table with the workbench? Really? What did you do to the river? It now looks blackish.... However besides all the criticism, I like that you changed the 2 windows at the front to real windows. But thats about it.

It might be ok for deathmatch but for classic mode it is not. You added too much silly invisible borders outside. People get stopped by those borders before walking where the vissible suggests you can go there. For example the hey to the right of the house. Why cant one go there? Or the car in the left end of the map. Also, you deleted the huge silos in front of the house and put in the small garage-like thing. But now, the entrance to the sewers is baldy positioned, because the terrorists can see everyone who climbs up that ladder and immediately shoot him. Its a bad mapdesign-decision.
