Please update for 2.3

Thanks.

Short and sweet. Good work.

So this mod is dead for people who have chosen to raise the skill max to higher than 10?
Peter34 27 Jun, 2018 @ 12:15am
I don’t care about the warning in the Launcher, but it would be nice if this mod could handle skill levels above 10.

Thank you for the compliment. It's greatly appreciated.

It's not possible to make it stay updated indefinitely but I might be able to get it to stay updated for the 2.x version cycle.

I know it's been ages since I've updated any of my mods and to everybody who has complained (and those who silently grumbled to themselves), I apologize. Things are starting to settle down for me and I'm going to try and slot in some time to at least update version numbers this week.

This is one of the best quality of life mods I use. So simple yet so useful. Thanks for making this!

As a side note though, could you please update the mod so that it is valid for all release versions? I keep getting the "outdated mods" notification when I know this mod could never really be outdated, and I have seen some old mods that are like "1.2+" and still aren't flagged as "outdated" by the launcher so it is possible to set the release version value as "all versions beyond this point".

Is IRL stuff still kicking your behind?
shredtilldeth  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 7:45am
Yeah I've already reverse-engineered another mod but I haven't had time to put it together. I'll do it but, IRL stuff is kicking my ass.

To go above 10 is a lot of code, whereas this was originally just a texture replacement.

There’s another mod that uses some boring white icons to indicate skill level. It claims to work with skills above 10. Can you try looking into how that mod does it? If the method wirks for him, it’ll probably work for you too.

Thanks for keeping up. I think I may know how to make this work with leaders above level 10, but it's going to take me some time to put together.

I've dinged my Admiral up to 11, and I'm sad to report that the star icons disappear entirely. A 10 skill Leader has the 2 gold stars, but an 11 skill Leader has no stars at all.

I don't actually know how the game behaves without this mod. I'll try disabling it later today, load my save, report back how skill 11 looks in "vanilla".
Peter34 6 Feb, 2018 @ 7:52pm
Okay, that's not useful then. But hopefully I'll ding up to 11 during this game.

The command "skills x" will raise the level of every leader you own up by the number equal to x. This can only raise the leaders up to their max level however.

Yeah, I'm not truly surprised. Do you know if there's a console command I can use to give the currently selected captain of a Science Ship a metric buttload of XP?
shredtilldeth  [author] 6 Feb, 2018 @ 1:25am
Thanks for the update. I expected levels 1-10 to work at minimum.
Peter34 5 Feb, 2018 @ 11:33pm
Well, with Engame Unity, it works fine so far up to Skill level 6. 1 Gold + 1 Silver. The interesting part is if I manage to ding my ceiling up to 11 at some point, seeing if your mod continues to work. But that's what'll take quite some time.
shredtilldeth  [author] 3 Feb, 2018 @ 7:48pm
Of course. Endgame Unity doesn't affect ANYTHING in the gfx folder (where this mod is) so I suspect it'll be just fine. Thanks for taking an interest in this mod!
Peter34 3 Feb, 2018 @ 7:15pm
Okay, but keep in mind, Endgame Unity is for the endgame. Each "pack" costs 500k Unity, so it'll be 2325'ish at least before it starts working. That's a few days of realtime, before I'm likely to report back to you.
shredtilldeth  [author] 3 Feb, 2018 @ 6:05pm
I took a look at Endgame Unity and it seems to use the vanilla file so this should work just fine. Let me know if it doesn't.

Thanks a lot for making this version of your mod!

But do you know if it'll work with mods that lets levels go up to values above 10? Specifically the Endgame Unity mod, which lifts the absolute cap to 15 and has some expensive "packs" you can buy with *huge* amounts of Unity, after you've maxed out all 7 Tradition Trees, including "packs" that raise the Leader skill cap, stacking with other bonuses to Leader skill cap.
