The ground used to be unbreakable ice in every winter level, but now it is just snowy ground. This may be because the ice wasn't actually breakable, and so was changed to snowy ground

I don't know how the code in SF works, but as far as I know that cannot be done. You change the ground and background in the middle bottom of the editor.

@tenebris i dont know how you would do it in stick fight: the game, but in games like besiege you edit max values within the notepad, because thats how the game would save a machine. i was wondering if the maps where also saved in a simillar way, and if you could change anything in them say, groundtype:normal to groundtype:ice (if thats how it works)

What are you talking about? Notpad is a notepad, its for typing in, I don't think you can edit there. This was done in the game's editor.
