Just to finish the story with a happy ending, I happily moved to this account long ago anyhow (as you can tell by my game hours) - and no impact was made nor sentimental value was lost for me.

Well Jackool, this is a bit awkward. I do apologize, because I'm sure this feels like BS to you. The account has gone through A TON since I lost control of it. Don't think I didn't notice, and feel a certain level of guilt, when I saw the hours put into Gary's Mod. I say this because I just want you to understand that I did consider how this may have impacted the current account holder (you/your father).

From my side, this account has enormous sentimental value to me. I have a lot of good memories from friends I've long since lost contact with. I was hoping once I regained control I'd be able to find them again, but the account has been altered so much it's hard to know what I'll be able to dig up.

Regardless, I do apologize to you for how things went down. I tried to discontinue your mod as transparently as I could. If there's a way to transfer ownership of this map I'll happily do so.

Hey there Eric. Just wanted to let you know I am the original one who was using that account, and I actually did "inherit" it from my father (who purchased it) back in 2011 or so.

I had no idea it was stolen - but I ended up making a new account anyhow since that one wasn't exactly rightfully mine. It was actually a bit hard to leave that account as I had spent 10,000 hours playing Garry's Mod. That SteamID has a lot of records behind it now if you look up "STEAM_0:1:6133338" on Google.

Anyhow, I wasn't the original creator of this map to begin with (as said in the description of this addon). The map originally wasn't on the workshop (which is why I uploaded it), but it is now and has been uploaded by the actual creator at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=132907756

Eric here won't really be able to help in any circumstance - nor does he have any way to edit the map as he does not have the VMF without decompiling it - visit the creator's addon instead.

It will stay up. If you guys have requests I'll still read them. But I'm not well versed in Garry's Mod so I'm unlikely to be helpful in many scenarios.

Damn, thats disapointing. Eric if at any point you get into using Hammer or you play Stalker at some point, please do come back to this map and edit it to your liking -but if you do leave this version alone and make a new one.- a massive ton of people love this map and hate that it may no longer be updated.

It's hard to tell you guys this. But you clearly enjoy the map and are following it, so I just want you to know what's up.

The person who developed this in Garry's mod was doing it from a hijacked account (mine). I've only just gotten control of the account back after a significant time. Steam support was very helpful in verifying that both the account name and email address were changed and that the account is rightfully mine. However, it may be that the person who developed this map purchased or inherited my account from the actual perpetrator. He may have had no idea the account was stolent. But the fact remains, it is my account.

So, I would not expect any further work. I would not expect the author to respond here, because I'm not him.

this is a nice map to do a war of the worlds recreation for the destroyed towns, the main character stuck in the house for over 10 days and some of the other parts of the story

Being underground gives me creeps.

Ther'a a lot of errors and texture bugs. Map looks pretty but. Errors... Errors everywhere. Only one star.
