This actually seems like a great Idea, I'd probably use it to if I weren't already using something like this.

Any chance of a compatibility patch between this and Mining Flames ?
bmben29 23. dec. 2015 kl. 16:55
Am I the only one this adds 1 health point to? Not game changing, but it does bug me.

this mod is actually not working, ive got the books... activated one outside the breezehome expansion mod i was running, and i managed to mine 4 ore on the insanity setting.... instead of the 50 as quoted. shall not be using this mod in future

Is this on the nexus? I'm trying to use as few workshop mods as I can.

I'm using Efficient, and have discovered a problem with the dragonborn mod: the script seems to be only partially implemented. Mining Ebony in Raven Rock causes you to take nine swings per ore just like on the mainland, but you only get one ore per vein. Hopefully this is just a case of me having been in the mine since I got it opened back up and having forgotten about it.

I really liked the previous versions of this mod and appreciate this one too.
However, I'm a bit annoyed about the way that you HAVE to use the "press E" option to mine using the other methods than traditional in this version. The previous mod versions allowed me to use the option available in vanilla mining to simply equip a pickaxe and swing it at the veins.
I'm not demanding that this be made to happen, just noting that it would be nice.

It would be nice if the names of the books in-game matched what was here in the description.

Also, for others considering this mod: this mod conflicts with other motherlode mods, glowing ore mods, and the mining flames mod.

This does not work. If you install this mod and read books, you will most likely screw up your savegame. BE WARNED!

i haven't tried any of the other books, but realistic mining doesn't seem to work for me. i get three ore total, and then my character just keeps beating away at the depleted vein for eternity until i stop him.
Fatum 31. aug. 2014 kl. 22:43
ummm.... this mod does nothing but add books that add an "effect" to you... that in reality does nothing? Still only get 3 ore at the same pace as before.

Having this and the 'cure disease' & 'cure poison' spellbooks mod seems to not work right, since both add books to Riverwood Trader inventory. I see the 2 new spellbooks for the 2 new spells, but there's no signs of these books. A pity, I'd like to have both available, but that's still understandable. Just thought it worth noting.

Great mod. Just waiting for it to work on stahlrim as well or modded ore deposits
usamap 2. juni 2013 kl. 9:52
I like this mod, but 9 ticks for every ore, total 12 from pace option, i will try uninstall then redownlaod, but if there r a few ppl haveing this issue then it may be the mod....
TheDwemerComrade 5. maj 2013 kl. 13:39
Could you perhaps provide me the item IDs for the books, as I do not wish do uninstall my trading mods.
cmzpowrrangr 11. apr. 2013 kl. 20:29
oh and does this mod work with stalhrim?
cmzpowrrangr 10. apr. 2013 kl. 23:35
ore*
cmzpowrrangr 10. apr. 2013 kl. 23:35
oh and it would be cool if you added a dwemer item called "dwemer mining charge" and if you hit or with it you have 5 seconds to get out of range and it will completely mine out the ore and it would work with enemies too dont see the point of hitting an enemy with a mining charge it would make on heck of a mess
cmzpowrrangr 10. apr. 2013 kl. 23:32
i just thought of some thing the dragonborn just lightly taps the ore and it explodes and he get tasked with picking up ALL 500 ore the came out of the one vein
Gookiemonster  [ophavsmand] 1. apr. 2013 kl. 11:55
Seriously though, I designed it specifically to only take 6 ticks per ore in most of the versions. Anything else is a malfunction caused by downloading from steam workshop. Might be fixed by deleting the mod and letting steam redownload it.
Gookiemonster  [ophavsmand] 1. apr. 2013 kl. 10:57
That's what the super speed version is for
Lord Squirrel of Squirrelington 1. apr. 2013 kl. 10:29
I never finished a vein completely because it'd take an hour im afraid : /
Gookiemonster  [ophavsmand] 1. apr. 2013 kl. 9:56
Nope, not normal. It should equal out to one ore to 6 ticks. How many ore are you getting total?
Lord Squirrel of Squirrelington 1. apr. 2013 kl. 3:33
Nice mod , one question though , is it normal that im getting only one ore per 9 ticks ?
Lord Squirrel of Squirrelington 1. apr. 2013 kl. 2:34
I believe there is a bug in standard skyrim too , once you completed the quest to fetch his claw , ol lucan loses his ability to trade with you .
Gookiemonster  [ophavsmand] 19. mar. 2013 kl. 19:57
GreenDragon, if you have any mod that affects what the RiverwoodTrader Merchant chest has (his inventory basically) it would override my mod and make the books not show up.
Stephy Wise 19. mar. 2013 kl. 15:27
I have been to the river wood trader but I have not found any books; none are in the shop and none are in the shop keepers inventory when I trade with him. What am I doing wrong?
Gookiemonster  [ophavsmand] 8. mar. 2013 kl. 23:49
As the now-deleted statements did not contribute anything to this mod, I thought it appropriate to delete them. In the future, let's please keep feedback relevant to this mod. If you are seeking a compatibility patch, I would like to remind you that my mods are essentially created to work without any mod that might overlap.
VinchenzoTheJackal & Shoon 3. mar. 2013 kl. 17:30
This is a good thing! It lets people choose how to mine in more efficient manners than vanilla by reading different books you can purchase. It makes it so players can choose what they want. Basically, you can even say this is 3 mods in one, since you were originally going to make the mining amounts seperate mods.
Feralhunter 3. mar. 2013 kl. 13:45
Great mod thumbs up. I never liked that you only got three ore from each deposit no matter if it was big or small deposit. I am using the pace your self and it is perfect plus you still get gems and I am getting more gems now from each deposit on average 4-5 gems all differant kinds. Thank you for the mod and keep up the great work.
Eradicator 3. mar. 2013 kl. 11:45
Great job on this mod.
Gookiemonster  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2013 kl. 17:15
As for mining flames, you'd have to try it out yourself. I don't even know what it's called.
Gookiemonster  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2013 kl. 17:14
Well, it's not strictly designed to work with them, but I haven't personally tested every mod. The glowing ore mod works for me.
Jobrah 2. mar. 2013 kl. 2:40
Really cool mod a worthy succesor.
