I "Updated" this mod for anyone who wants it they can find it here. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1659999760
AlphaAsh  [author] 8 Jan, 2019 @ 10:13am
I haven't tested it myself. It will probably work up to a point, but I've no idea what would happen on an ecumenopolis, as there's no art for it.

With my time for modding limited right now, I have no plans to update this one. Therefore it's 'abandonware' and anyone is welcome to pick it up, as long as due credit is given.
AncientGatekeeper 8 Jan, 2019 @ 10:04am
Odds are it will work. If you haven’t seen the lovely guide that Alpha created for your enjoyment please see below. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1242401312

Can anyone confirm, working fine in 2.2? Building my mods list up and would love to put this back in.
Sephyrus 4 Jan, 2019 @ 6:34am
Will you add ecumenopolis textures to these? They are very nice! (If they are already in, disregard this message)
AncientGatekeeper 27 Dec, 2018 @ 8:24am
Lol! I’m fine with this being listed as incompatible. Means nothing to me. Keep up the great work Alpha!
Nihilhem 24 Nov, 2018 @ 5:25am
Lol. Whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nihilhem 4 Nov, 2018 @ 10:14am
I've already done it myself, but many people that don't know how to do that would appreciate it. It's awful seeing that warning every time you boot up the launcher and it can lead to confussion / hide other problematic mods.
Nihilhem 4 Nov, 2018 @ 10:07am
We know. What we're asking for is that you update it so we don't get that annoying red exclamation mark.
Tea Bathing Monkey 1 Sep, 2018 @ 12:55am
This mod still shows as incompatible with 2.1.2. It seems to working just fine however. It would be nice if you could update is so it wouldn't look incompatible.

Hello Alpha Ash. I am curious about how the city graphics are structured. I have been wanting to mod race features and habitability to include under-water races/habitats. The thing holding me back is figuring out how to make the graphics for cities so that I can make appropriate city graphics. You seem to have an idea of how to do this. Any tips or pointers to info? (You can PM me here or as primem0ver on Paradox's site if you wish).
Catnapping Princess 17 Jul, 2018 @ 1:21pm
you have no responsibilitiy to keep the comment section clean at all, you're good, don't sweat it yourself either
AlphaAsh  [author] 17 Jul, 2018 @ 10:18am
You and I are cool. Don't let unwanted commentary bother you. I didn't get around to deleting it quickly enough.
AlphaAsh  [author] 17 Jul, 2018 @ 10:14am
Nikole, don't sweat it. You can ignore the peanut gallery. Just be grateful the safe-space crusaders of light, justice and political correctness didn't show up.
Catnapping Princess 17 Jul, 2018 @ 9:09am
i just want to be nice to everyone because it's the right thing to do, whether friend or stranger. i have autism so sometimes i have a hard time telling if i was rude or not, but i do try as hard as i can to be nice to everyone i meet. i am very sorry for my actions and i do hope that one day the community can forgive me...
Catnapping Princess 17 Jul, 2018 @ 9:09am
The reason i asked if they were the same in the first place was because i couldn't really tell what the difference was, i knew they had to be different, i just didn't know how. I was trying to get an explanation of the differences. The reason i "doubled down" wasn't to be mean, but because instead of getting an explanation i just got "yeah they're quite similar" which is the opposite of what i wanted, i knew they were similar, otherwise i wouldn't have asked in the first place? but then she got all "get glasses" and i felt very hurt because i was trying to be nice and legitimately was having a hard time determining the exact ways that the two are different. It's a subtle difference, they look very similar, but i got accused of trolling because i can't tell. So i tried to patch it over by complementing the others because the conversation was going the opposite way i wanted, i just wanted to be nice about it from the beginning and i guess i came off very rude and that's not my character
Catnapping Princess 16 Jul, 2018 @ 1:24pm
i'm sorry >.<
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Jul, 2018 @ 2:01am
Quite. That and because I am responsive, means that a - I get trolled a lot and b - I don't put up with it. Because of experience and the fact I am a defensive bastard and not looking to make friends - I troll right on back. Well done for dealing with it and not just negging the mod in a defeatist huff.
Catnapping Princess 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:58am
ah, yeah, i guess i was a bit mean, sorry
you did good work and i have no reason to judge you for doing what you want to do
in fact, there are people who do think you should do what they want when you vollunteered your time to making something that no one payed you for, and those people are quite rude and self-entitled
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:50am
I was going to ignore you for back-pedalling, but I appreciate the apology. To clarify why I was offended: this is a mod. Most of the citysets in this mod are modifications of existing citysets. Some of them based off the same cityset. When you asked if they were the same, I indicated that to some degree, yes they were. You doubled-down, which is when you were tagged as a troll. It's obvious that they are different, in the number of towers and density.

I don't care for criticism, never have. The mod is the mod, and you either subscribe to it or you don't. If you don't want to be accused of trolling, think carefully about what you post, especially if you are tired.
Catnapping Princess 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:44am
it kind of hurts tho that you accused me of trolling tbh, i was trying to be nice and also wanted to ask a question, and i was being honest in every way, but it's not a big deal tho, i didn't mean to act stupid or anything and i'm sorry i came across as rude. it was my fault entirely tho, i worded things really badly while trying to express appreciation. we got off to a bad start :\
Catnapping Princess 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:37am
i really like the medival and industrial ones, very good themes going on there, and the decadent ones are really cool, they look like what the na'vi would have had if humans never met them
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:34am
Clearly.
Catnapping Princess 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:33am
nah, i think i'm just tired is all, bad timing i guess
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:32am
No, you're just trolling.
Catnapping Princess 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:31am
oh, i see it now, they're the same buildings, just a bunch are taller? or am i still not seeing it?
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:29am
Get glasses?
Catnapping Princess 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:28am
yeah but i mean i can't tell the difference by looking?
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:28am
They are both modifications of the same vanilla cityset, yes.
Catnapping Princess 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:26am
are materialist and militarist the same?
Peter34 2 Jul, 2018 @ 3:26am
At least, the notifications should be colour-coded. A friendly orange for minor 0.0.1 or 0.0.4 version number discrepancies. A more alarming yellow for 0.1 discrepancies, and a stark red for discrepancies of 0.2 or larger.

It's not solid. Geness Worlds works fine ven though it hasn't been updated since like 1.6, while the 1080 mod fairly often breaks on a mere 0.01 change.

But it might help put some minds at ease.

Alternatively, you can use a mod pack, then trust the mod pack's manager to not include any mods that don't work with the current version.
AlphaAsh  [author] 2 Jul, 2018 @ 12:23am
You can stop being annoyed by going to PDX forums -> Stellaris -> New thread -> "Change this bloody notification!"
|v£|Frozen DDD 1 Jul, 2018 @ 4:06pm
Its mostly for those that are annoyed by the warning.
AlphaAsh  [author] 1 Jul, 2018 @ 2:22pm
You can. You don't need to.
|v£|Frozen DDD 1 Jul, 2018 @ 12:47pm
You can change the supported version by going to documents -> paradox interactive -> stellaris -> mod -> ugc_1314648742
Open it with notepad and change the supported version to 2.1
BobGrey 28 May, 2018 @ 6:15pm
@lotlon @Oh, my shoulder! This mod only adds citysets, which are just image files, and their corresponding text files. It will likely always be compatable with all future versions. There has never been an update that has affected these kinds of mods, and there likely never will be.
Atlantean_king 26 May, 2018 @ 4:11pm
@AlphaAsh, thank you clarifying, I honestly never would've pegged that as it is.
AlphaAsh  [author] 26 May, 2018 @ 3:50pm
@Pontifex Maximus Thanks for the confirmation.
AlphaAsh  [author] 26 May, 2018 @ 3:40pm
It isn't this mod that crashed your game. Since I've been testing it myself, with zero changes these last 2 hours with no issue. 2.1 changed nothing related to citysets.
Atlantean_king 26 May, 2018 @ 3:38pm
i recently updated to 2.1 and i was forced to remove the mod after it crashed my game. I practically died when i realized this. I hope a 2.1 update comes soon.
Pontifex Maximus 26 May, 2018 @ 3:24pm
I've tested this with 2.1 and so far I don't see any problems.
