Works fine, except it breaks zipline motor. You can't use motor if you have this glider on, it will do weird stuff like instant drop off

Hey, love your mod so far, little question though, do you think you could add skinned versions of the glider so it can be used with armor skins? there is the cosmetic armor mod which is very much beta but that one, while it does the job, completely breaks functionality of the armors themselves where the ghilie suit loses it's stealth perk, the hazard suit loses the set bonus etc. so that is less than optimal... and to be fair I still don't get why they did not enable us to wear the glider and motor over a regular skin...

They were made the way they were to maintain the pre-nerf code even when the original files were updated with the glider changes along with the devkit (This mod was released prior to the glider nerf). Glad to hear you got your mod to work with it!

This mod gave us a heck of a time trying to figure out why my autorun mod wasn't working with the glider lolz. Because you didn't make the PrimalItemArmor for the glider or the buff as children of the originals I had to resort to searching for the buff name in the list of active buffs on the player :P But all is well that ends well I suppose :) Autorun should be stackable with this mod on release :D Happy gliding and happy running everyone!

How does the speed mult work. Is ther a way to increase max speed and disable minimum speed or will increasing the multiplier allow you to go faster but also make it easier to stall.

The location of gus.ini changes depending if you are playing sp or on a server.
You have to paste the following lines into the file once you find which one you need they don't add themselves, the mod just runs using these for default settings *if* none are set.

im probably just too dumb for this. i stopped my server and run the filezilla client, logged in onto my server.
i see folders such as "arkse" "shooter game" etc. where to find the ini for this mod ? :,(

Since the server is still running the old files it will appear broken, a clean install of the mod is the best way to resolve these issues.

I can also confirm that the update broke the glider on my dedicated server. I did a clean install of the mod on my client, but have not been able to do the same for the server since I am not at home atm.

Try unsubscribing/resubscribing with deleting the mod files in between - if this is on a server you may want to reset the servers copy of the files as well.

Since the last update, my glider skin seems to have stopped working. Vanilla glider works as normal. Even spawned in a new one/tried with different armor pieces.

Glow pets? Interesting. Can you create a mod with "glow rectangles" of different sizes that can be mounted on walls, floors, ceilings and illuminate an area (adjustable light color and light brightness)?

Examples:
- light stripe 1/10 wall height, 1 wall width
- light stripe 1/10 wall height, 1/3 wall width
- light stripe 1/3 wall height, 1 wall width
- etc.

I am not able to craft the glider and where I can find the blue gems?

@soepie7 as with the other new features on the glider I am planning to add that as an ini configuration as well, however not even the original changes to the glider have been released to the DevKit as of yet so it may be some time before I am able to update with the new features.

I saw that the vanilla Glider actually added a nice feature recently: when activating the Glider it cannot be deactivated the first X seconds (don't recall how long).

This is amazing for laggy users, and is soemthing I struggled with before the nerf, and removes and exploit that allowed you to gain height by closing and opening the Glider at specific points.

Would this be a good idea for this mod? Or at least in config?

I don't work for WC friend, I am just a modder providing quality content. I will however be adding those options into this glider via INI files like you suggested (As stated in the description) as soon as the updated Glider code is released into the dev-kit.

If WC thinks this makes sense for the game, they should add this an option to the *. ini-files, so that you can choose whether to have this changes or not.
The same applies to the changes made to the flyers in ARK...
As long as this doesn't happen it seems to be not in the best interest of WC to NOT kill their game with unnecessary nonsense...
