@Lethal, The cockpit is a mod...
Lethal_Shats 12 May, 2020 @ 9:02pm
I subscribed but for whatever reason i acnt get the cockpit to spawn with the whole thing. Says some blocks are not avaliable on this world??
Zavediess 12 May, 2020 @ 9:54am
I just finished building this trailer from scratch (according to your "Survival, maybe" episodes 27-29) , but something bad happen. The back part (2 last wheels) of the trailer is lifted up when i throttle with your miner at the back, resulting the truck won't move. I am on the Titan (Alien's planet moon) and i guess the gravity and the less weight of my back of the trailer is the problem.

Anyway without miner (empty trailer) this goose works great, it is just easily lifted up when i drive it (gravity problem again i guess) but i can still control it.

Any modification suggestion maybe? Cause i want to use this since i build it from scratch and don't want to waste it.

Thank you very much, and sorry for my bad english :D

You're very welcome Chaser, glad that the series have brought you some goals and fun things to aim for in game :)

Hope you do not mind, made a light version (no hitch) with an added lower connector. As always, linked to your original version(s).

Omg! After watching was watching some more of your videos, and Youtube ended up selecting your video on drones. Subject might not be related to the Goose hitch timers, but it had all the answers I needed to reverse engineer those timers and make it all work.
AngryDragon 30 Jul, 2019 @ 3:49pm
I haven't found the section where you setup the timer blocks in your videos. Could you point me the right way? Never messed with those, and I have to say that I was somewhat hoping I could learn how they work.
AngryDragon 29 Jul, 2019 @ 10:12pm
Also, for some reason, the angles that were preset for some of the rotors were wrong. After all that, I think I've finally got rotors about figured out. It was good practice, and oh the mistakes... There's something that just feels good watching your mistakes. Makes me feel better about my own.
AngryDragon 29 Jul, 2019 @ 10:07pm
Just finished building my own... Still got a few things to setup, namely the timer blocks. I gotta say, watching the series, so far, I've not seen you unhitch it all that much. I just couldn't like it up for the life of me. In the end, I just added a camera facing the hitch and with that, I finally did manage to line it up, and quite quickly, Might be a good addition to make.
Kam Solastor 6 Jul, 2019 @ 2:45pm
You can somewhat alleviate the projector issue by having one projector for each (major) subgrid part - the hitch could be done manually, but for the other parts, a projector could store each segment and then grind them apart and add the hitches
theonecalledstein 14 Jun, 2019 @ 9:26pm
We built a large grid version of the Goose for Survival Unlikely.

Fell in luv after watching your youtube ...

It's the rover cockpit, the link is in the required items on the right of this page :)
lurch68b 3 May, 2019 @ 7:44am
What cockpit are you using? When I spawned it in of course it didn't have a cockpit so I just used an industrial one that I have used on other things but it doesn't really flow well with your rig, at all.
Splitsie  [author] 2 May, 2019 @ 7:44pm
Glad I was able to tempt you back ;)
lurch68b 2 May, 2019 @ 7:18pm
nm, it was some sort of mod issue. I loaded a vanilla setup and checked and all is fine. To much messing with stuff. :) I have had this game since way back and have not played it for along time. Started again after watching your survival vids.
Splitsie  [author] 2 May, 2019 @ 6:32pm
Apart from the cockpit this is a completely vanilla build, so I'm not sure what would be going on with your connectors. Having pasted this in for myself it's still working :/
lurch68b 2 May, 2019 @ 6:29pm
Been watching your vids, been learning a lot. DLed the Goose and notice some changes from the original design and I think an error. First off the ejectors dont seem to work and when i looked I can see them but they look funky and dont look connected to anything. The other issue it the merge block that you use. is that a vanilla block, because I cant find it in the build I have. I do love the design and how you look at building things. I am bit more function over form kinda guy but you like both. ;) I can probably fix the ejectors but the connectors are a bit odd, could probably just change them out for the ones I have in the build I have.

I recall when the multiplayer patch was being tested there were some conditions where grids like this one (with multiple subgrids) would end up being unable to move when pasted in. I'd not experienced it since then and have messed around pasting this blueprint in with everything working fine, the main thing you need to be sure of (like all mobile grids) is that it doesn't intersect with any voxels otherwise it will be locked in place. The other thing to make sure of is that some weird setting for the park break hasn't been applied (by cycling the state of the park brake).
Caveman 18 Feb, 2019 @ 4:13pm
Horrible even with the mod downloaded I could not get it to move. The only good thing is the mining ship
Splitsie  [author] 15 May, 2018 @ 11:34pm
Thanks so much glad you're liking it :)

First of all, I like your work, but if its too frontheavy, why u dont add a few artificial Mass blocks in the back of the cabinepart, just an idea :D
Go on!
Splitsie  [author] 13 Mar, 2018 @ 3:35am
Thanks!
If it takes me as long to make as my last celebration video you could be waiting a while :P
Glenn G 13 Mar, 2018 @ 3:25am
Front page on the workshop Splitsie, Congrats! Celebration video? Please?
lil-emmit 12 Mar, 2018 @ 2:58pm

Splitsie  [author] 11 Mar, 2018 @ 7:57pm
Thanks :)

To anyone who wants to build this in survival, I've added a link to the bottom of the description that will take you to a second version of the blueprint which has the truck and trailer connected via merge blocks for a simpler build in survival :)
snappedpixel 📺 11 Mar, 2018 @ 6:54am
congrats on getting second page!
Splitsie  [author] 11 Mar, 2018 @ 1:33am
Dang steam for making it really difficult to reply to everyone.. grr!

@CharlatanCad, I'm not sure what you mean by lift it, the only mod in this is the rover cockpit and the only one I used to help me put it together (because it just makes playing with rotors so much easier) was the build info mod so I can interact with those blocks directly
Splitsie  [author] 11 Mar, 2018 @ 12:26am
@mojo on my modified survival scenario power is the motivator for this, well that and loving to over engineer things :)
Splitsie  [author] 11 Mar, 2018 @ 12:25am
Thanks everyone :)

@Blake_tanner You could certainly add thrusters to keep it in the ground, but I'd probably recommend keeping the speed under 20m/s as you don't need them then :)

@launchinterceptor I'm so glad someone noticed that - I used it to replace the picture of my character, a not so subtle payout of myself :P

THE GOOSE
Mojo 10 Mar, 2018 @ 4:23pm
In survival when you get enough materials to build this, what is the point of having the rover? Whatever you were using to gather the materials to build it, got you where you were in a place to build it.... so you already would have a method of getting the ores needed. LOL

Great build.

Just having a lil sarcastic fun. :)
CharlatanCad 10 Mar, 2018 @ 4:14pm
What building mod did you use to lift it? I never heard of it.
Pleasebekind 10 Mar, 2018 @ 3:47pm
Built in survival. For survival.
Saucylot 10 Mar, 2018 @ 3:41pm
beautiful...
SMooreAce 10 Mar, 2018 @ 12:58pm
How about a pinned topic with all the block goup names and block settings needed to make this all work in survival?
SpaaaaaaceMouse 10 Mar, 2018 @ 10:44am
That's a lot of crashes for a promo video XD
SarahAndrea Royce 10 Mar, 2018 @ 9:12am
Funny, I also have a ship called "Gans" (german for goose) and I seam to got there for a similar reason :-)
