Will use your "normal" map and use it as a standard game map for now, until the Beta mode is over, assuming you're posting a saved game later on that is...(post Beta)?
I've plenty of memory and a pretty decent graphics card too, so hopefully there shouldn't be an issues from that standpoint.
As a warning, whatever comes next, will contain more cities, suburbs, towns and villages. My current map series is proving 71 towns is lasting a fair while with my base_config (something I will turn in to a mod hopefully), with that latest beta.
I'm unable to load the saved game. I copied it over to the saved games folder and it says the following on the loading screen (for my saved games in the game menu)
File load error: Invalid file version (103)
I'm assuming it's more than likely to be a mod issue, so I'm going to have to work through the list (over 300!) and see what one is causing the problem. if it's a mod that's the issue that is, unless anyone knows what it could be?
Done it now and downloaded it and am going to add it to my folder.
Also I've already got quite a few of the mods in your list already, added the ones I was missing earlier on today. I'm currently tinkering with the NYC-Westchester map (No industries) a nice "long map". Will put on hold and take a look at yours now.
Thanks again GrandT.
@wabbithunta Thanks for watching! Episode 17 has the save game linked in the description. It'll take some loading as there are a bunch of mods installed. I think I'll tidy that up for the next series.
I just did a crazy laying session, stations are placed as far as Welwyn Garden city now, (albeit simplified straight 4 track line between them for now,) I have to do the school run before I can continue though
Right now, I'm playing around, thinking of having a "fake" station at the North end of the map in the Newark area, just so trains can progress north of Grantham, I've already done similar in the Creek Rd area of March, so trains aren't reversing in the station.
Bravo.
@Tordenskjold It works ok on my system, although towns are physically limited in growth.
@nickbrad82 Good hear, glad you're enjoying it. You might be alright as if you limit town growth.
