Are there any alternative mods, which a Lem-compatible?
Lou 14 Sep, 2021 @ 11:17pm
Currently broken, 3.1 broke it like pretty much all other Ascension Perk slot mods
Le Gross 5 Sep, 2021 @ 11:45am
If these technologies do not appear or the traditions are frozen, write "activate_all_traditions" to the console
Journeyman Prime 28 Apr, 2021 @ 5:38pm
This mod completely breaks the Crisis menu, which is understandably disappointing as I intended to become the Crisis and continue picking up perks. Any fixes soon?
djvandebrake 17 Apr, 2021 @ 12:17pm
Using this with 3.0.1 and it appears to still be working. Haven't gotten high enough in tech tree to see opener techs but I do appear to have 16 perk slots as desired.

Mod suddenly stopped working with newest update.
wolfie1897 10 Jan, 2021 @ 7:53am
To those asking for an update, the mod still works on the newest version perfectly fine.

Such a great mod, could use an update tho...yes i'm being on of those.
jonjowett  [author] 5 Apr, 2020 @ 5:04am
@takanawa: All(?) mods are ironman-compatible but very few mods are achievement-compatible. This mod has never been achievement-compatible.
CanaeBarca 4 Apr, 2020 @ 11:42pm
Unfortunately I don't think this works for Iron Man compatibility anymore as when I was making a game with this as the only mod I was subscribed to It said that achievements are disabled

@DXV: Thanks for testing and letting everyone know!
BrokenMidnight 21 Mar, 2020 @ 10:15am
For those looking at this, it works for 2.6 update. No problems so far.
jonjowett  [author] 3 Nov, 2019 @ 3:29am
@ |VersΛce|: Probably. Test it, find out and let us know.

(I haven't played Stellaris for ages, and I don't have the time to exhaustively test all of my mods every time there's a new patch - especially as they usually work fine. But if someone comes to me with an actual bug report, I'll do what I can.)
Pro_Stitutina 30 Oct, 2019 @ 3:27pm
Compatible with 2.5 ?
jonjowett  [author] 27 Oct, 2019 @ 1:21pm
@Valaso: It's all publicly available on Github. This link will take you to the zip file containing the version of this mod that worked with v2.1: https://github.com/jonjowett/stellaris_mods/blob/77ae008575e94e63901d88fa61040e1afd8d0902/ascension_perk_slots_expanded_to_16/packaged_mod/ascension_perk_slots_expanded_to_16.zip
Mysterius 14 Aug, 2019 @ 8:27am
It's working. People need to stop asking for updates just because they have a red icon in the launcher.
CrazyZombie 5 Jun, 2019 @ 6:02pm
May we see an update in the possible future?
jonjowett  [author] 19 Dec, 2018 @ 4:02am
@Srageras: This is updatedfor v2.2, I just forgot to update the tested version in the mod description. I'll go and do that now :-)
Srageras 19 Dec, 2018 @ 12:52am
No updates? 2.2
HairyCherry 11 Dec, 2018 @ 12:44am
thanks a lot!
jonjowett  [author] 10 Dec, 2018 @ 9:19am
@Mark974: Yep, the traditions screen had indeed been reworked. Looks like there are some new traditions in there. Anyway, this mod should now be working in 2.2.
jonjowett  [author] 10 Dec, 2018 @ 8:36am
@Mark974: My first guess is that they've changed the layout of the traditions screen. This mod has to completely replace that screen, because that's the only way to replace the "slots" panel in the bottom right. So, you're trying to load an old tradition screen into the new version, and it isn't working.

Anyway, I am planning to update all of my mods for v2.2. However, since I'm not playing Stellaris that much at the moment (CK2's Holy Fury is too good!), it might take a day or two. Also, since I'm not playtesting them myself, there may be some subtle bugs in there.

Still - thanks for your report, I'll look into it.
CakesLieAlot 15 Oct, 2018 @ 7:09pm
Ah, thanks
jonjowett  [author] 22 Sep, 2018 @ 4:08pm
The internal name of the tech is "tech_16aps_repeatable_ascension_theory".

If you want to immediately give yourself all levels of the tech, I made a testing event ("event aps16.999" in the console).
CakesLieAlot 22 Sep, 2018 @ 3:16pm
Could you put what the tech's are called so we can test them out (I know you can unlock all tech w/ a command, but I rather not) or so people can play as a marader empire (by using the commands)
Battlespark 31 May, 2018 @ 2:29pm
Lol im leaving that comment there because of my own stupidity. That was when they came up with the new changes in our launcher. I didnt even notice all my mods were disabled. hahah i can be a dork sometimes.

Works fine.
The Erubian Warlord 31 May, 2018 @ 7:22am

jonjowett  [author] 31 May, 2018 @ 7:16am
@The Erubian Warlord : Yes, it's compatible with the current version.
The Erubian Warlord 31 May, 2018 @ 6:18am
is this niven compatible
jonjowett  [author] 17 Apr, 2018 @ 5:42pm
@voidster: Sorry to see you go. I just booted up Stellaris to double-check, and it's still working for me. (Also, I haven't pushed any updates on any of my mods for more than a week.) So, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that one of your other mods is the cause of your problem. Unfortunately, that's the nature of the Steam workshop :-/
Battlespark 17 Apr, 2018 @ 4:39pm
This has all of a sudden stopped working. Last night i had 16 perk slots avail, today only the regular amount. Im removing the mod and unsubbing. Tired of trying to diagnose and fight to keep mods working together.
Dark_Sattis 14 Apr, 2018 @ 3:32pm
while already written above (as both mods define the PERKS_SLOTS, just to note it: Plentiful Traditions 2.0.2 is not compatible with this mod.
JazzCat_4TW 31 Mar, 2018 @ 7:05pm
also note that the 1080p Ui mod requires your game to be 1980x1280 resolution, from my understanding.
JazzCat_4TW 31 Mar, 2018 @ 7:04pm
@Archmage_Bael

I'm not entirely an expert on programming and diagnosing problems as Stellaris has come up as a new passion for me so i haven't had time to delve into the coding. however i have faviourited all of my stellaris mods I have added in order for my freind to easily find them so that both of us can play in the same game together.

in saying that if you want to check them out, i beleive the mod with the 1080p UI and the downsized ship moddle mods if installed might help with your problem as I installed all my mods in one big sweep. I think (not sure if i'm correct) that they could have been the reason I saw the extra ascention perks as soon as I loaded up a new game.

Hope This Helps

@Archmage_Bael:

I just reread your comment, and it's possible you already did exactly what I said (ie - started stellaris with only this mod enabled). If so, I apologise - and I really don't know what's going on.

When I was making the mod, I had the same difficulty with the ascension perk slots not showing up. There were several independent causes:
- You have to have both the setting in defines and you also have to alter the traditions view.
- The mod folder name must start with a letter (not a number).
- The filenames of the modified defines file and the modified traditions view are important.

It might help to look at your Stellaris/logs/error.log file - maybe there are relevant lines in there that will give a hint about your problem. But if it's simply that the game isn't loading the text files for some reason (or if they're being loaded and then overwritten by the base game and/or another mod) then the error.log won't be very helpful.
jonjowett  [author] 31 Mar, 2018 @ 9:58am
@Archmage_Bael:

Yes, it's working on my machine. Also, judging by JazzCat_4TW's comment, it was working on his/her machine too - after the most recent update.

Perhaps you have a mod conflict? Try loading Stellaris with only this mod enabled. If that works, then you've got another mod that's conflicting (see tech info above - anything that alters the traditions view and/or specific number of ascension perk slots is incompatible).

If it doesn't work even if it's the only mod you've got enabled, well, first I'll be very surprised and then I'll start seriously looking into what's going on. It'd be helpful if you can provide the exact steps you go through, so I can try to reproduce te issue.
Knightmage Bael 30 Mar, 2018 @ 10:55pm
I created backups of all mod folders, then deleted the whole folder, then booted steam back up, unsubscribed to all mods, booted up stellaris to make sure there were no additional mods detected, which there werent.

I then re-subscribed to all mods and redownloaded them.

At that point I saw them all back again, and selected the mod, newly downloaded.

This mod still didn't work after all that. Not sure what the problem is. Does it work on your machine(s)?
JazzCat_4TW 30 Mar, 2018 @ 8:52pm
Please with this mod, now i can start a multiplayer game with the cool new additions :D
JazzCat_4TW 30 Mar, 2018 @ 8:51pm
nevermind, they are comming through now, i just had to techupdate :)
JazzCat_4TW 30 Mar, 2018 @ 8:49pm
I have successfuly instaled this mod, however i'm confused as to how to get the tech able to be researched for the extra ascention perks. does this mod require the user to go down the min over matter ascention line, or is their some sort of trigger requirement in order for these ascention technologies to become available for research?
Knightmage Bael 30 Mar, 2018 @ 6:35pm
I tried, it doesn't seem to display.

I went into the save games, and tried editing through Notepad++, and it says I HAVE the 16 slots, but it doesn't show them...?

What is the attribute name that I could edit to manually give myself the 16 slots?
jonjowett  [author] 30 Mar, 2018 @ 1:30pm
@Archmage_Bael:

Steam workshop is notorious for sometimes not downloading / updating mods. Sometimes it helps to launch the game and wait in either the launcher or main menu before quitting.

If you're still having trouble, you can download the latest version of the mod manually, here [github.com]. (Unzip into your [username]\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod\ folder.)
